5 out of 5 stars It ain't that bad... This picture was taken at 12mm and therefore it looks like he was way above the ground. It's only about 20 feet. And by the way it was a 22cm screw.

4 out of 5 stars good one! I got this lens to. it's great for this style of climbing pics!
What polariser do you use?

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars very nice picture. I like the composition but would like to see a bit more contrast. maybe shallower DOF? but still very good shot!

4 out of 5 stars excellent!

4 out of 5 stars nice pic, jägermeister! cu on the ice

View this Photo
well it looks like... but it was hollow... only about 25cm of ice... but still, great fun

View this Photo
no bloody way!! this rock is not climbable. it's about the worst kind of conglomerate I've ever seen. but the ice is quite good!

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars ugly ice...

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars looks thin!!! what is the third tool for???

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars Why would you really want to shoot such a wide angle at 2.8?

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars very good shot! would be even a bit better if the background was a bit more blurred to highlight the climber a bit more

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars excellent!! haven't seen such a good bouldering pic for a while!

4 out of 5 stars What's the sweet new lens?

thanx a lot! I'm not gonna touch any plastic holds for at least 6 months!! BJ is also waiting! who are you?

View this Photo
11B?!?! It's a f*'in overhang! when lowering off you get to the ground about 10 meters away from the start! It's a beautiful line! one of the most perfect edges I've ever seen. unfortunately it's waaays to hard for me...

View this Photo
Thanks a lot for the positive comments! It was a awesome photoshooting and by now the muscle ache from handling the heavy 70-200 2.8 is gone! ;) happy shooting to all

View this Photo
aaah quarks i love them! can't wait till winter's back!!!!

View this Photo
what's wrong with the draw it's just extended ...?!

View this Photo
to rain harder? hmmm it don't think that helps a lot ;)
well for my part I hope the rain is going to stop for the next days! cause I have 3 days off from work... whhhheeeehaaa!

he defenitly is amazing! that remembers me all the time to never let you get down by anything! Just smile and go on!!!!

3 out of 5 stars that's what climbing all is about!

4 out of 5 stars and now some king crimson sound..... truly psycodelic! like it

View this Photo
I was trying to get a compromise of sharpness and separating the climber from the background. The 50mm 1.8 is not that sharp under 2.8..... Best would have been to use the 70-200 at 200mm 2.8 to get narrower DOF...

View this Photo
Bokeh describes how the out of focus areas of the image look. Wide angle lenses usually produce ugly bokeh and a good tele gives that creamy plesant look.

can't wait for my two months trip to South Africa!!!!!!!!! only 4 more months to work......

View this Photo
jep he did it!

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars wicked!!!!

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars excellent! extremly warm light! did you use a warming filter too?

View this Photo
far out! diapers would be great for alpine climbs with serious runouts ;)
By the way Dominic states that thights would be perfect for squeezing the edge to get additonal grip...

View this Photo
better than nothing....

Thank you all for the comments!!! That's a motivation to haul the camera up every wall I climb!

here you'll find a high resolution file of the picture.

yep seems to be... but hauling two single ropes up a wall would suck big time!

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars Very nice! like the DOF and composition

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars hmmm, ok... but this sure doesn't hurt the biner! the edgeds of a bolt are much sharper.
But you're right, a long draw or long sling with biners would be ideal!

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars What's wrong with linking two quick draws together? I do that pretty often to avoid rope drag...

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars very good!

View this Photo
The first one is really bad! i once pulld out a Longlife bolt by hand..... I don't trust them anymore!

View this Photo
0 out of 5 stars that's disgusting!

3 out of 5 stars what am I doing here in Switzerland! gotta get over to California for some REAL crack climbing without those damn bolts!!! arrrrg! that pitch looks soooo awesome!

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars No X-Rating... It's not that bad. If the belayer pays attention, you wouldn't hit the ground. But I almost filled my pants anyways! This was my first pitch in South Africa ;)

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars beautiful route!

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars thanx for hauling that lens up there! I know very well how hevy it is.... ;)

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars now that's some mountain!!!!

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars very good picture! But the climber is a bit to much in the middle of the frame.... 1/3 of rock, 2/3 of sky would look better in my opinion.

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars Beutiful sky...

View this Photo
2 out of 5 stars over saturated

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars Thats not the belayer. It's just another climber in the route to his left.

But he's going to lift his belayer. dominic is 30 kg heavier than sam....

View this Photo
What does that mean??

View this Photo
1 out of 5 stars what's the point of this picture?

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars Awesome gully! wonna be there!

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars Stunning! Great job!

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars I like the extremly hard contrast of the light!

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars Dominic installed that chain of draws for me. The crux moves have to be climbed obligatory because they are bewtween the bolts. Without that chain I would not have gotten up there ;)

View this Photo
indeed i almost filled my pants leading that pitch....

View this Photo
great shot! I prefer a nr. 1 Camalot to an ice screw...

View this Photo
I like the fisheye effect. the light could be better.... but I know, it's always the same. When you go out to shoot the light is never perfect...;)

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars Very nice! let's bend the rules! it doesn't always have to be the rule of thirds.. I like the composition...

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars Beautiful! Now that's a sunrise..

View this Photo
terrific line! wonna go climb that crack right now!

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars awesome scenery! good composition but I'm sure this wasn't the climbers most interesting position you captured...

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars I like how the belayer stands out of the dark! otherwise, the shot could have a bit more action. all in all a very nice shot! cheers fabe
