Sweet scenery - makes me wanna go back to Whistler and climb instead of ski ;-)
she doesn't look like she needs a muscley boyfriend - heck, i wish *my* arms were as buff as hers ;-) great photo.
holy exposure batman! great shot.
Very striking photo, super cool.
Hehe, that's awesome, I love to see little kids cranking. But did he do the sit-start?
beautiful, simply beautiful
Cool shot, funky crag.
the world's first 5.16 climber in the making
Ooo La La! Not to sound like a complete sexist, but Sweet Jesus, that is one hot, hard climbing betty! Nice picture too ;-)
Very cool shot.
Sweet shot, I particularly like the diagonal instrusion (quartz?) cutting across the face. I'd love to give that route a try.
Thanks for the comments guys. I realize it's not a great composition (I'm surprised it's ranked as high as it is actually), but like moabbeth says, any pic of IC is worth a look ;-)
That's awesome ;-)
Now that's cool - very creative.
great composition, thumbs up.
very cool shot, beautiful area.
mmmm... flaring crack... looks tough. great shot.
i only wish i would have had a camera with a decent tele-photo lens, my little nikon digi-cam wasn't ideal for the job.
Great example of capturing the moment, nice one.
I miss the climbing around Austin, but I don't miss the heat.
Great shot! Looks like you could get in some natural pro at some point before the first bolt.
What a wacky pic - I love it :-)
beauty man, incredible scenery.
I like it - nice composition / framing, gives you a sense of anticipation of the moves to come.
Excellent photo, Black Diamond could use this to advertise Camalots ;-)
You've posted some really great pictures to this site, and this is one is no exception, awesome.
LOL, poor bastard, looks like he's having a great time ;-) Great photo.
Beautiful colors -
Wow, that is some incredible scenery, very beautiful.
Very nice shot. Looks like a super sweet route.
Great climbing - I love it out at Vedauwoo.
Yup, the chimney above has a cool hand crack, although it would be a tougher climb if you actually had to jam it (rather than do relatively easy chimney moves).
Yeah - it looks wide where she is, but it's actually hand jams, maybe a fist here and there. There is a short chimney section near the top, but it's not the 'crux'. Although it actually felt like the crux when I lead it - I got waaaaay too deep into it and felt like I could barely breath ;-) I thought the top out to get to the anchors was kinda scary also.
Beautiful shot, very nice.
I like how the two sides of the dihedral are such different colors, makes for an interesting contrast.
The way it was and the way it still is at Vedauwoo. There are a bunch of 5.7's there that really wore my ass out. Someday I'll actually have some off-width technique...
Good photo, nice looking line. Looks like that yellow Alien might be a tab big for that placement too ;-)
Nice to see a good photo of a 'moderate' climb. Does the route follow the obvious flake down lower to his right, then traverse across to where he is in this pic?
GULP - I'd be crying for my mommy. Great shot.
Nice shot - I definitely want to give the first pitch of this a go the next we are at Vedauwoo.
That looks like Lower Slot (5.6). The thin crack to the left is Lower Slot Left (5.7).
This is either Stand And Deliver or A Little On The Ugly Side - both are 10a I think. The big off-width directly above the climber is Upper Slot (5.6 or 5.7 depending on who you ask).
Beautiful scenery, fantastic photo, well done.
Good advice. I think I've gotten a *little* better since this photo was taken, but I still get spanked on those nasty off-widths.
LOL - you're probably right, but to each his own. Quite certain that he wasn't anywhere close to being pumped out though ;-)
Nice - she's styling it. What's the rating on this route?
Sweeeeeet angle, great photo.
Guys, shame on you. It's just not right to objectify young hot flexible gymnast chicks.
Yowzah! Did she escape from the circus or something?
Cool, I really like the intense look of concentration on her face. The route looks pretty intense too.
Yet another cool shot, nice. The rock almost looks like chert or flint.
I like it a lot. The darker areas above and below add a bit of contrast and help to frame the climber.
Good shot. I sure do miss that place, some really great climbing there.
Nice. Makes me wish I lived by a large body of water again. Every time I see a shot of someone climbing by an exotic seashore I almost regret being in Colorado ;-)
I miss climbing at Reimer's, it's a great little crag.
Seems like most of the higher quality photos on this site are people cranking hard stuff, nice to see a good pic of a climb I could actually try ;-)
note to self: must go climb in thailand some day....
nice composition, very cool
Is this Ripple? Great pic, I miss E-Rock.
The two over-exposed areas (chalk bag and the sloper above the climber) are a little distracting, but otherwise it's a kick-ass shot, really captures the moment.
Ahh, Big Sur, gotta love it. Awesome shot.
Do you have to carry a machete on your harness when you climb this route? Sweet pic.
I gotta make it to the Gunks someday soon. Great shot.
Great shot, looks like a sweet route as well.
Sweet! That looks like an awesome route, I gotta go to the Gunks soon.
That's a beautiful looking line, great shot.
All you need is some Stealth rubber on your tounge and you'll send it for sure ;-)
Really nice shot. I think it might be worth cropping it to about 3/4 height (or even a little less) to better focus in on the action.
Another sweet shot of the Gunks. Awesome.
Very cool - looks sort of like being in a church or cathedral.
Man that looks awesome
Too bad the image quality isn't better, but still a great composition, awesome looking climb.
Wow, 10c? There better be some serious buckets under that roof. Awesome looking.
That's a cool shot
Nice to see that setting a speed record doesn't preclude stopping to take a few glory shots ;-)
Now that's funny, good one.
Yeah baby - nothing like an exposed traverse to get the blood pumping. The photo looks like it's a bit skewed to the right though?
Now that is a cool shot, nicely done.
That looks incredible, great shot.
Now there's something you don't see every day. Sweeeeeeet.
I'm sure after the redpoint he'll downgrade it to 14b.
Great shot, well done
Great photo. I'm actually going to be working in the Black Sea in early Sept for about two weeks, flying in and out of Istanbul. Is there any climbing / bouldering near there?
Compelling image, very nice.
Gnarly. I want some purple corduroy tights.
mo-sheep - yeah, this is taken from just above the Gash (so kind of NE). Killer bivvy area actually, being able to wake up to a spectacular sunrise and hop right on the route was oh-so-nice.
Awesome. Despite being a little blurry I think this is one of the best pics you've submitted.
Sweet pic. Rewritten is definitely one of the best 'easy' routes at Eldo.
Damn that looks schweeeeet.
I love the Rincon wall. Haven't done the first pitch of OTH, but p2 is indeed super nice.
Man that looks beautiful, great shot.
Definitely one of the best slacklining shots so far and a sweet photo in general.
That's a really cool shot, be nice to see a little more high-res version.
Wow, that's crazy looking. Great photo.
Cool shot, sure looks harder than a 5.7 from this angle.
DAMN that looks awesome, gotta love an exposed traverse with incredible views below.
Now that's a cool looking route.
Stemalicious. Nice shot, beauty of a line too. Shouldn't this be in the 'trad' rather than 'sport' category though?
Now that's a sweet shot. What time of year was this taken?
It's like Mr. T having a stare-down against a cucumber before the big fight. "I pity the fool!".
woe - pretty sure i would never have the stones or the requisite balance to try that
Nice to see some cool E-Rock shots - great work.
And up above looms p2 of OTH - such a good 5.9 combo.
There's a lot going on in this picture, I like it.
Definitely one of the better ice climbing shots in awhile, nicely done.
That's a very cool shot.
Very nice shot - would be nice if the climber was a bit more visible, but still interesting.
Now there's something you don't see every day - super cool picture.
Oh man, not even in my dreams, awesome job.
Man, this shot should be rated higher than it is, very nice! Beauty of a route too.
Nice to see a shot of someone fiddling with some old school gear on a hard lead, very cool.
I lead Emerald City (I'm belaying her just out sight). I thought about giving the first pitch of OTH a shot that day, but found that I was lacking the requisite testicular fortitude. 5.9's at Eldo are still quite a challenge for me, hoping to get stronger this season...
My favorite bouldering shot at the moment, really cool.
He kinda looks like Burgess Meredith in this picture.
That's a really fun route.
Blow up yer TV
buff climber chick + rad tats = dead sex-ay
Mighty nice pic
Great shot, definite front page material
Definitely working the whole red-planet-martian-landscape vibe, cool photo.
Black Diamond should be banging on your door right about now asking to buy the rights to this one - sweeeeeet shot.
Damn that's nice
I think he's about to transform into the Incredible Hulk
Now there's something you don't see every day
Cool photo, stellar scenery. Kinda reminds me of the crowds on the first flatiron a few weekends ago though, what a zoo.
The front page needs more cutting edge climbing photography like this, well done ;-)
good stuff, really makes me want to save some $$ for a euro-climbing trip
LOL - that's a great route. I found it was easier to be facing the other direction for that section, then switch sides after 15-20'.
sweet jeebus, stupendously nice shot
oh my that's nice, fantastic shot
