Interesting. I took a different path - straight up over the bolt. My right hand ended up where Jon's left is.

The bees are actually above the anchor and to the right, but when they're active they can make things unnerving all the way over to Joke Book.

Of all the pics I've seen on this site, this is my favorite. By a bunch! Absolutely stunning!

There are those who would describe all of US (Rockclimbers) as "Crazy Possessed Monkeys." The phrase might even make a good t-shirt! (I'd wear it.)

Wonderful picture. (IMO) The rock looks other-worldly. But don't you carry a bail-biner?

Do you set TR on the fence up above? Do you name various routes? Do you talk about FAs and OnSights and RedPoints?

Congrats! It's great to move up!

See what I did there? Moving UP?
Yeah, yeah. I know. Horrible.

4 out of 5 stars Great route. Great pic. But that is not the crux.

The hike in is about an hour and a half. And it's nasty on a hot day. The rock feels "fluffy" - like climbing on styrofoam. Lots of loose breakable stuff. And it can be pretty sharp. It'll tear up your skin. But there's lots of shade, a great seabreeze coming up the hill, and amazing views. Unlike Echo, the base is a nice, easy place to hang out. Most importantly, the climbs are good - at least, those that I've done are good. Hard. Physical. Fun. I like it. When it's not too hot, the good far outweighs the bad. I may even get back there next weekend.

I've seen people trip over shadows, so...

So a beautiful girl who does climb wants a picture of herself as her profile pic. What's the big deal? No, it probably doesn't belong on the front page. But that wasn't the intent. It's a profile pic. No problem.

I love your use of the word "yet."
