4 out of 5 stars Half-rope technique. I haven't seen much of that around here. Although I haven't been around that long. Nice shot.

Thanks for describing the scenario. Normal pic by itself. Great pic with the story.

Yeah... that is nice. Photoshop out the light hitting the rocks on the right maybe?

2 out of 5 stars I think this is pretty much an average shot. It isn't bad, but it is nothing spectacular. Am I missing something? The foliage creeping in from up-left and growing out of the slab really seem to make the photo look dirty. Just looks like a photo taken any old day at the crag. Good photo, but average.

4 out of 5 stars slablizard, are you sure that isn't from chalk? It seems that the limestone only changes color on holds... I could be wrong. sidepull, I don't think that the picture is an "indictment" of the community. (referring to your usage of the word) If you feel that way, it would be your (the jury)indictment.

4 out of 5 stars It almost looks as though you were using a fisheyed lens when focusing on John. Love the colors of that place.

For some reason, the mentos commercial song comes into my head when I see this. I have no way of explaining this.

The out-of-focus branch seems to completely distract me from the beautiful flow of the photo. I know that you meant to do it, but it just seems like a finger that accidentally got in the way.
