It was just a temporary route with about 10 holds bolted to the tower. The theater is in a place called Swope Park in Kansas City that has Broadway type shows during the summer. The route got route name of the month in Climbing "Karp Hold Tower Syndrome" for the type of holds I installed. I believe Karp holds are now defunct.

Yes, those are fairly heavy socks!! Back then, you actually wore your EB's or RR's all day and most wore socks too.

No, it is what we used to call the triple overhang. Just north of the awkward off-width. There is a flake about 4 feet below my foot that the normal route uses to either hand traverse or walk across to the right. The aid route is quite a ways north of this.
