The picture would have been so much better without the folded unused pad in it
Well, thanks, I guess... If I don't climb like Josune, looking somewhat like her in the next best thing...
Brent_e: What don't you like about that BD harness? Admittedly, I won't get the same one again when I replace it, b/c I already have something else in mind, but it fits O.K. and I've had no problems with it.
Why are his pants down? Wait, I probably don't want to know.
yeah, me too.
is the tilt supposed to add artistic interest?
I want to go there!
It's one of those "see you you can spot a climber in this photo" pics? It's funny how well he blends in. It looks like a cool place to climb though.
Beautiful photo! just Wow... I mean... forget it.
If she is so new that she doesn't even have shoes, and yet she is leading 5.8, I'd say, good for her, jugs or no jugs!
But rating your own photos is not cool, IMO. Especially if they are blurry.
Very different picture. I'm glad you made it back safely to post it :) .
The soles of your feet, your chalkbag and the back of your head are very nice-looking.
I like all 3 pictures. But why are you wearing a harness for bouldering?
Is it a different Kelly than the one on Yack Crack, or did she dye and cut her hair in between? LOL, not that it affects the picture in any way... Nice one!
I would like to refer to THAT as a "small 2-finger pocket" some day. Right now it looks like a small shadow to me... Avesome!
Umm... maybe he is cleaning the route on toprope? Hence the draws.
It is not cool to vote on yuor own pictures!
The snake picture might get approved in some future batch of uploaded photos... But I am sure a Google search will turn up plenty of cute copperheads, if you are interested :)
NO you didn't! The one you photoshopped is on YOUR computer, in case you have forgotten.
Wow! I haven't commented on a photo for a long time, but this one just pulled me right in, as soon as i saw it.
LOL, for a split second I thought that this was actually the photo that camhead wanted to take last weekend-- but none of us had cameras.
The photo we wanted to take was a climber with a cell phone in one hand and a drink of some sort in the other, wearing a helmet and preparing to climb Ro Shampo on a toprope.
Powerful zoom, then!
LOL, I am pretty sure she is working "up". Or maybe she just found a fruit fly and is determining the genotype. Someone needs to photoshop a pencil into her right hand.
LOL, I clicked on the RC bookmark by accident, while talking to someone, and out of the corner of my eye saw something red.
First thought: hey, that t-shirt looks familiar! Second thought: hey, so is the hair! Finally, my brain catches up with the visual input: hey, it's Paul on WTOK!
Nice shot! I hope the weather cooperates and you get to send it when it is dry AND not snowing yet.
Oooohhh, nice! I think I know which photos would be on clamhead's next Christmas cards. :)
How do you know I was talking about this one? :) It's a nice photo for sure! And should be in the keepsake category, b/c those shorts won't see the light of day anymore, RIP. Why don't i see the vote option?
All Things Considered, Military Wall at RRG.
Definitely 5.9+... (the question is, plus how much? Plus 8 by my count... :) ) Our first-ever trip together... Clausti sent... I bailed at the first bolt and dreamt of this route for the next 8 months or so, until I came back to it. It was all her fault!
I'll jump on the bandwagon! not sure why...
This photo would go well for that "boudering with a cam thread." Here we have bouldering with a rope and bolts every 3 feet.
Nice pointy toe, Mr. Dancer.
Finally! The suspense was killing me! But suspense makes the first photo into a better picture -- and CI's face is not obscured by his burly forearm in the first one. :)
It should be hanging on a wall somewhere!
tpro, I wouldn't say that the bolt placement (I assume that's what you mean by 'anchor below me'?) was bad on this route. The bolts were placed in good clipping stances overall and at a reasonable distance. Yes, we put a longer draw on that one spot to decrease the rope drag, but we probably would have been O.K. with a regular sport draw, too. The bolt before the one with the extended draw was probably a foot or so below the bottom edge of the photo.
And overall it is one of the better climbs for the grade at Rumney. So you should do it before talking it down.
Doc, it would be narcissistic if I voted my photo 5-star. :) But you are allowed.
And yeah the green--I'll have to remember that in the future... there must have been a reason why the pale green color was the only one left on clearance... but it is my favorite top! And it's not my fault that Rumney's rock is not red-colored.
vegastradguy, it is at the Colliseum at the New River Gorge.
Nice photo! But I sure wouldn't want anything in my mouth for the crux! :)
Thanks, gg. I actually like this one better, too. :)
Are we that desperate for new front page pics?
Woohoo! And I didn't even have to read through the thread.
