Cement landing. . . ouch!

This route is a sport climb??

Probably the best pitch of 5.6 in the canyon.

I've heard that the painting first appeared in the 1930s or 40s.

And I thought climbing in the PNW was rough!

The belayer has a healthy Euro-loop going with the climber only little ways above the deck. Yikes!

Good to see ya made it up there. Which route did you guys do?

4 out of 5 stars Ah, the epitome of desert climbing.

Excellent route, Bob. Check out those pockets he's pulling on! It's a shame someone had to go drill a few out at a later date. I don't know much about its history, but the current condition of the Virgin leads me to think its at least been touched up since this photo was taken.

And you didn't get arrested?

Nice. Is this from the recent (8/04) floods?

Cool shot. How'd hauling up that slab go!?

High steppin!

3 out of 5 stars Hmm, I'm thinking train tracks, a fixed cable and a few too many bolted cracks. Am I warm?? ;)

3 out of 5 stars Good route, cool pic. Has Kevin been putting up new climbs in Mill Creek lately? Seems like there is still a lot of room to grow.

A tapeless ascent nonetheless, nice work.

3 out of 5 stars So the Allenspur is open again ?!?

4 out of 5 stars Awesome setting. You must have tough feet if you did that in Mythos. Ouch!

You don't really have to say where this is. Where else would someone climb ice with a cotton hoodie!?

That's a proud line for a moderate rating.

Cool pic and congrats on the send, but having your hands in two different cracks with a bolt at your waist = overbolted, IMHO.

That looks like something called Lion's Chair or Lion's Jaw.

Sweet goat.

Fun pitch

Is that the "put away the damn camera and take up the slack" expression, or what?

Funny stuff. It was National Lampoon's Vacation, if I remember correctly.

Are Peace Rocks near Whiskey Gulch?

Wasn't this in one of the Aspen papers a few years ago? Definitely one of the best pics on the site.

Congrats on the summit!

The "SKI" spelled out by the runs at old Genevea Basin shows up well in the background of this pic.

That approach looks brutal.

Cool pic. Did he send?

Best slacking pic I've seen. Nice work!

Is that limestone?

What did you have a go at?

Looks like he's going for the onsight FA solo.

View this Photo
What's it go at? The start looks pretty desperate.

We did the "Mutt" all the way. I haven't done the line on the right but have actually heard it's easier. Maybe not...

Surreal lighting - it all looks particularly orange.

4 out of 5 stars I wonder what Ed's take on bolt wars in the desert would be...
