Yeah thats exactly what it is, I untied, lowered to rope to pull up slings to set up a top rope but when I got the gear I just tied the rope to my harness with a double over hand (I guess thats what its called) so I wouldnt loose the rope. I planed to re-tie it before I lowered but forgot and it came loose something like 25 ft. from the ground while I was cleaning a hex. I was pretty lucky that the broken arm and dislocated wrist was the only injury I sustaned. I couldnt climb for two months, that was the worst part of the whole affair.
with the way you got that knee cocked and the come hither stare I gotta wonder whos taking the photo. Very seductive.
You guys have way to much time on your hands. One of the most pointless campaigns in RC.com history. Fruitfull, but pointless none the less.
You bastards have to stop voting this sh*t on to the front page, I damn near fell out of my chair laughing when I logged in. SOMEONE COULD GET HURT!
That is easily one of the most striking, beautiful and purely sublime images I have ever seen.
j ung. Visit the "chipping a blank face" thread in the bouldering forum and all your questions will be answered. Yes it is real and this does need to be on the front page so vote 5 stars.
I like the guy in the back ground. Looks like he got a good laugh out of your pain.
You would be amazed how touchy people get when they are drunk in public and see Jesus walking down the street. Damn I hate hugs from stranger!
What the hell is that very odd and unnatural shape jutting out behind the climber?
"bringin it back"
Oh good god why!?!
I've been on this route several times and it has never looked so good. Nice shot.
Careful!!! You fall from there and your facing one hell of a pendulum!
I gotta ask.
1 a.m. accidentally or with intent?
I like it!
You were right. I was up late at the end of a rest day and didnt feel like waiting. The south summit, alone at midnight is a pretty cool place. Thanks.
This needs site wide recognition...front page here we come.
I know what you mean about looking at the picture over and over again. I've had the opportunity to see my own meat, tendon and bone three times in my life and it never ceases to fascinate.
Adios amigo, the soloing, climbing and RC.com communities just got alot smaller.
4' of the ground and no pad?? You gonna die!!
Rarely do I feel compelled to click on a "front page" photo. This however was one of those times. Beautiful!
I like shots like this, that show just how dwarfed humans are by our environment.
Titanium. It had to come back out after a year because it was causing tendonitis. All together the whole affair was a big pain in the ass.
5 stars for McGyver and onsies, not for you or your creepee big hair.
Oh thats a nice shot!! Sucks about the ankle though.
I see a Biner in the background. That counts as front page eligible!
Is that a GriGri your belaying with?
Easily the most original and interesting in the series. Very dream like, ethereal even. Nicely done.
Thats a hell of a view man. Well done.
Burns on the front page!
Is there a boardroom meeting going down in that tent?
I think you just made that "word" up
1 star deduction for not pulling the rope and leading it though. Especially since some brave soul was nice enough to sew it up like that beforehand.
Belayer wearing his helmet - Check
Climbers helmet safe one the ground with belayer - Check
YGD!! - Check
Smooth jcrew. Very smooth.
I like that you, the sky and the rock all match. This picture would have a completely different feel if you had worn an orange shirt.
This perfectly evokes those rare moments of peace I've only ever found in the mountains and on the rock. Fantastic.
Cool shot. Thought she was ropeless there for a second.
Yeah, I could spend a few months on those walls.
I voted 5 stars. Partly to annoy TonyB3 and partly because this a pretty sweet shot.
