Whoa, how high is that thing :-)). I got scared just from looking at it /joke/. Feels like falling down. It looks so cool. I like the rock. A really great motive.
Youst look at those muscles :))
definitely well protected. LOL
whos gonna scrape the belayer off the rock??
definitely a nice view
wow, nice!!!!!!!! dafinitely worth the rain!
man, hes just strolling through it!! amazing.
cool. a gurdian angel for a lone boulderer who just screwed up hes life.
cool move. gr8 pic.
nice colours and BEAUTIFUL pic.
gr8 shot man!!! i love it.
thats art man. like a sculpture. beautiful.
man, its gotta be HOT there!!
man, nice pic and setting. kinda reminds me of bohinjska bela in slo.
beautiful. ill have to visit france once. really nice rock. i love the blue streaks.
i have to put up some pics so i can give this one a 10.
ROFL!!!!!!!! i almost messed my pants. hilarious!!!!
and focus is kinda crappy, but its understandable.
i love fall. especially if its not raining.
nice chick... er, pic ;)
yes. and how eager they are to spot.
gr8 pic. nice colors.
and he has those new wariable size biners!!!!
oh, great pic. i love the facial expression. probably mine would be the same.
no, not all of eourope climbing is sport. youve got a lot of good trad. you just have to look for it in the mountains not in populated areas.
well, he did that when he was clearing it. but that was taken AFTER the route was cleared (notice how no draws are clipped) and he unclipped from the rope to avoid taking the belayer for a swing with him.
yes, kalymnos is heaven. im gonna visit someday.
why is the bottom of the pic so dark?? water???
coll shot. i love it.
the spotter isnt spotting. i just hate that. love the facial expression.
bong... a water pipe for smoking pot. the same principle as arabic nargila, but only for one user at a time. and they actually sell this???
ditto taht. man, thats sick. i gotta stretch more.
really nice pic. kinda mettalica style facial expression
mont blanc rocks.
WERY nice painting. i first thought it was a fuzzy pic. i love it.
the gate IS facing the wrong way... i didnt believe in orientation of the gate untill i made a little experiment... i clipped the rope through the gate facing the wrong way and simulated a fall. the rope unclipped. from that day on, i always orient the gate the right way.
man, i wouldnt want to fall there... sweet pic.
sweet. congrats on your solo.
wow. i wouldnt like to be somewhere high at that time. nice pic.
nice pics. i dig the snow. reminds of the winter thats fast approaching.
wow. i mean.... wow.
how come its so small and 90K????
someones jelaus ;-)))
A very NICE PIC
sick pic. nice use of the spotter to block the sun. filters???
how long has the "leaver" been there??? is it safe to clip??? btw, nice pic and looks like a gr8 route.
i 3rd the cropping. but good pic anyway
looks really nice.
i really LOVE this pic. is super nice.
man, that looks... tripping... acid style
oh, htats what you meant ;-). nice drawing.
are you sure the area is MONT BLANC?????
love the colors
GR8 shot man. sending in rain takes guts. kudos to the man.
LOL. nice dog. does he bite????
nice woody. love the no of holds.
well, im a sport climber, but i wouldnt want to find an achor like that. it doesnt look right.
nice gym. do post the coordinates, please. i might visit ;-)
damn, theyre expensive. they got any extras???
wasnt this wall in EP (or some other wall manufacturer) add in climbing mag???? lokks nice.
nice photo. and that climb was really something.
littering is bad for your karma
jup, hte thing by the road looks like a powerline tower. and the approach to the cliffs looks nasty. nice pic, btw. like usually
love the police lineout on the crashpad.
yes, the flowers add a bit of color.
the lower part hurts my eyes (distracting). otherwise a great photo. i like it. 9.
youve got cute eyes.
it really is photogenic. i like the background and light. nice pic.
well, hes probably clipped into pro. i wouldnt want to hold a photographer all day even if it was with a grigri. its better to clip and let the belayer put in some slack so hes legs wont go nubm and he can relax a bit (IF he has a grigri).
this one is off the cale. i love it. i wish i was there. here its -5C and soon to be snowing. damn.
a really nice pic.
nice. i love flexible women ;-)
LOL on the turists
i love the colors and light. sweet.
nice pic. i love it when people support climbing by allowing us to climb in thir backyard. or at least by allowing us to tresspas on our way to the crag.
nice pic. looks kinda like kotecnik, slovenia.
i knew he was part chow. he looks cute.
imagine what happens if hes left foot slips ;-))). nice pic.
this is a really good pic. i like it. maybe crop the black area on the left and bottom. just a little.
this one is really gr8!!! how did you take it???
this one is definitely a 10. an amazing pic. you really should post it in "high quality". how did you take it???
crop the belayer??? otherwise, as usual, gr8 pic. oh, just noticed... is horizon a little off? ok, now im starting to nag...
nice dyno. or should i say jump??
whats that whit thing above the climber??? a waterfall???
what do you mean??
nice pic. looks kinda hard.
at the crag description, what does "unnatural climbs" mean??? nice pic.
btw, the climber, Boris Cujic, is not really an old grandpa, hes probably the best croatian climber.
let me translate for you: "old grandpa Boris climbing Tichu dohod, french 7a on the island of Hvar, Croatia". nice photo anyway.
i knew it was ceuse. wonderful pic.
beautiful. why does it have to snow now??? i wanna climb!!!!
nothing special ;-)
una: are you serious??? or did you just make it up???
LOL, thats gr8!!!!
you gotta love the shoes!!! nice foot action.
this is located on the island Hvar, Croatia, Adriatic sea.
if its not a slab or were not looking at the crux, followed by easy jugs, it IS harder than .10b.
he MUST be falling. theres no way he can hold that. or maybe a dyno???
i didnt even notice the horizon. damn. anyway, nice pic. breathtaking.
damn. but its just twisted.
just look at all the chalk...
and you need a license. i mean, thats almost like having a tank.
i really like the exposure.
is someone sitting on the cliff just to the left of climber??
well, tell her to at least use a draw.
i dont think this is a top rope per se. he looks to be seconding. it IS pitch 6 after all.
jbird: i can. the peak is in the back left of the big mountain.
you took this photo??? congrats. i believe it was in one mag (maybe polet???)
yes, and who wants to fall onto matresses with all that cutterly attached to them???
really good pic.
anyone who votes less than 9 is mad. i vote for this to be resubmitted in high quality. a 10.
i especially like the sun spot.
this cant exist...
damn. this should be rated 11.
this is a really outstanding pic. btw, anone remember the boulder in LOTR: fellowship??? i would like to climb those too.
thats some really dirty air. anyway, nice to have a crag so close to the city... but what if you live on the wrong side of it???
ouch!!!!! i hope you DID go to se an md. that looks serious.
even with the draw... check the distance to the one before it (its off the pic and low enough not to visibly affect the rope). its a runout that can turn into a very apinful experience if your foot slips...
this looks REALLY hard.
i wanna go there.
i have to agree. even if the crack cant take gear, they coul have used half as many bolts.
i reall like the DOF on this one. even the mountains WAY back are almost sharp.
i never doubted this to be real. amazing.
i second the slack comment. shows hes belayer doenst want to interfere with unwanted tension.
nice pic. maybe could be better with hte focus on climber, not the background.
you use locking biners insted of draws??
some people are probably right. nice water and better rock. add you SO and what could you wish for more???
check the smog. damn. nice pic.
hey, thats cheating. the belayer is helping him!!!! hes pulling him up!!!!
nice pic. i really like it.
nice 1. love the action.
whats with the grafitti??? nice pic, like the facial expression.
wow. even if it is a fake, its great.
i knew this was from somewhere in the exyug. the houses and the tent are so obvious, you just cant miss them.
why not make the wall all the way to the top????
this is a nice pic.
thats a really good pic. LOL on torch-welder.
i have seen camera phones that took better pics than this. but action is good.
nasssty crimpersss they hurt my preciousss fingersss. gr9 shot.
matterhorn is really beautiful.
thats about 6m off the deck if i see it right. good one. and landing sucks.
ouch. i didnt see the block until i read the comment. kudos to the belayer.
thats a really sweet oic. the second photographer should be spotting.
nice family pic.
neretva is really beautiful. great pic.
why doesnt he just cut the laces???
i wish the leg wasnt cut. otherwise its very good.
why is this 5.9????
like something from LOTR. or spine of the world viewed from icewind dale. sweet.
hey, give him some slack!!! otherwise a good pic. like usual.
anybody watched kung pow and remebers what happened after the "so cute" line???? sweet pic anyway.
sick. its a .14 face??? damn.
nice pic. can you spel WET???
ride to safety... hmmm...
reads somthing like a sholl for music, language and dance. nice pic, especially when viewed together with the description.
nice pic. at first glance i thought it was super overhanging, but then i noticed the draw.
well, you should have no problems with finding someone to belay.
you have to love NZ.
my hips hurt from just watching it.
nice shot. VERY nice shot
poor guiness. this just shouldnt be allowed. but its funny.
that must hurt.
this looks really amazing.
nice. make sure you build a roof.
jupm these are glueins. quite common. but i think i read somewhere that "classic" bolts are stronger.
i prefer the evolve ad.
i dont know why, but i really like this shot.
STOP uploading pics from NZ!!!! every time i see one i want to go there. damn you!!!!
what happened to all teh features on the rock??? where did the holds go??? definitely a nice OS. congrats. and a great pic as well.
this is V5 just becasue its so high. kudos to the man. and nice pic too.
that is a really good pic. captures the concentration. you can see him saying "hold for just a second more". good one.
nice one. love the blur on the water and the leaves being sharp. no wind???
wich movie??? looks like some kung fu to me.
will you please stop postin NZ pics??? i wanna go there every time i see one.
looks like hes dancing to some bad electro beat.
i also usually dont like the bw-color combo, but here its really good. nice job.
this is the one of the best pics i have seen in a while.
thats a really nice one.
this looks really nice. i think i would love climbing here. oh, good pic, too.
this pic has everything i love. a beautifull woman, climbing and guiness. nice1.
it is ;))
her name is elica and shes a legend. even has a route named after her (she can climb it too).
this shot is really good. keep it up.
i looks like hes forearm is in focus.
no, he probably has a single bi colored one. nice pic.
youre lucky the farmer didnt see you standing there ;)
thats a really good pic. nice colors.
are those tick marks???
i could be wrong, but it LOOKS like hes backclipping. nice pic though.
yes, neretva really is beautifull. nice pic.
thats one really nice pic.
that looks dangerous.
couldnt you guys see the belayer??? nice pic. shows the suffering.
this looks really intimidating.
this looks like a cut and not a flapper. ouch.
this looks hard for a 10b, or is it a bit slabby???
thats a REALLY amazing shot. different angle makes all the difference.
thi looks like a nice climb.
that looks like my worst nightmare.
that place looks really beautifull.
a good moderate/easy climb is really nice for a change. especially if its picturesque like this one. looks sweet.
thats really intimidating. sweet pic.
thats a really good pic. looks really hopeless.
thats one sweet looking roof.
this really looks man-made. sweet pic.
that move looks just like the crux move of "vabeca globina" in kotecnik, slovenija. no hidden toescam or nice big hold for the left hand though. nice pic. it was a sad day for climbing when he passed away.
this looks either like my worst nightmare or the sweetest dream. i just cant decide.
sweet pic. looks like a fun climb. so, is it legal to climb or not (like it ever stoped me from climibng if it wasnt)???
sweet. i like the way its reall sharp in the centre and blorry on the edges. nice pic. and the crosshairs are a good idea too.
some to europe, plenty limestone here.
sweet. is this really a 12pitch sport climb??? how hard??? id really love to do climb something like that.
and the funniest part is... the pic was submited by cracklover.
this looks really fun.
arco is really good. i wish i could go there now.
yes, thats one great crag. the only "bad" thing about it is the fact that there are almost no easy routes. you need to comfortably climb at least .12 to really enjoy it.
man, id love to see him try that on lead. nice pic!!! and hes no necessary stuffed. he only needs 1 jug, but hes still ont the wrong side.
i want to move to NZ!!!!
does it have anchors or do you have to top out???
wow, that looks like a really nice mountain to climb.
SWEET SWEET SWEET!!!! nice pic of a really beautiful area (i stil have to see an area in NZ thats not beautiful). Oh, did i mention its SWEET????
man, just the exposure makes this a 5.9 :))) nice pic.
this shot is really amazing.
maybe you should crop the pine on the left. it really doesnt belong there. nice pic otherwise.
how come its .12a if its a jug haul???
the word that comes to mine: intense. but imho it would be better with more climber and less background (it too static and really doesnt go with the action in front).
that is a very nice shot.
actually there are two cars ;-)
well, i guess somebody didnt like the pic. IMHO it would be better with a bit more zoom (to cut off the right spotter), a tiny bit less light. maybe it could work w/o the zoom with a different angle (photographer a bit more to the right). that would also lesses the too-bright upper right corner. btw, i dint think it was a 1, i voted 7. despide it shortcomings, it has some sweet action and i really dig the dog. did he bite the climbers @$$ when he dismounted??? ;-)
man, if i liked snow (but i dont) i would want to do this. nice pic too.
this pic is really sweet.
wow. i mean... wow. stunning. beautiful countryside, sweet tower. whats the difficulty (just checking, you know)??? man, id love to climb that. where was the photo taken from???
this looks like the adriatic coast.
man, thats a really optimistic photo. i love it.
man, thats some scree. nice pic.
stari, zgleda dobro.
sweet. 80ft really isnt that much, but the vertigo in this shot makes it look like 800ft. nice pic.
OMG, thats an excelent photo. really good colors, focus, action, emotion. man, its excelent. one of the best pics i have seen lately.
man, another SWEET photo from that area. 10 and im speechelss.
man, sweet. thats second gr8 climbing pic on the FP today.
man, thats a lot of holds.
man, sick dof. wich it was a bit higher quality. play around with the setting until you get to the allowed 96k. its worth it. you can actually post a good pic at that "low" size.
does this just look like a long drop, or is it a long drop??? nice pic.
nice pic. ditto the troll.
just noticed... how is he tied in??? this doesnt look like a fig8 or bowline to me.
man, that is a really sick lockoff. and a good pic too. just wish for some more lively colors, but you really cant help there, and i second the tims resizing comment. i really like how the belayer is visible but not discracting. kinda "you just climb, ive got your back" message. really nice. i like this one.
does anyone else see something in the bottom right part of the pic????
this photo is truly amazing.
solid pic, but the right hand should be visible.
nice to have you back man. please. dont post all new pics at the same time so well be able to enjoy them for a bit longer time on FP.
man, sweet. can you make it a bit better quaity so i could print it and stick it to my wall???
sweet. shes really cute.
this looks really sweet.
balance, balance. really nice pic.
yes, the rope is just visible over hes left foot. really nice pic. whos that in the lower left corner and whats he standing on???
thats a really sweet pic. love the exposure.
i hope theres some anchors. downclimbing a slab is a real pain, especially if it of the around-the-corner-runout kind.
thats a really good butt shot. i actually like it.
LOL, i actually read the title "land of morons". really nice pic though.
thats a really cool pic.
granitegod: those the ones in the feloowship??? anyway, everytime i see something from castle hill, i want to go there. sweeeet photo.
thats a really sweet shot. i love it.
i also vote for 1100sq meters. you can see the belayer in the bottom right, left of the white thingie with spots. but it sure is tall. though if you check the area info, youll see that its 17m tall structure with 25m routes, 875sqm, 2000sq m with a canyon. pretty amazing and a nice pic too.
if im ever in the area ill give it a try. if its raining offcourse. spain has too much good rock to waste time on plastic.
looks like fun.
wow, looks scary. hows the pro??? bad trad or bolts??? and the grade??? anyway, a great pic. i love it.
thats a really cool action shot. nice timing, and i love the belayer. he seems more afraid than the climbers. and looks like a fun climb too.
i thinks that if he changed the angle to remove the civilization (powerlines?, buildings, road etc) in the background. its really distracting. but than you may have to loose the mountains and im not sure its worth it because theyre really sweet. well, thats the first kinda-negative critique i ever had on one of your photos. still an 8 in my book though.
too bad about the loss of quality. maybe you should consider playing with a good photoeditor and adjosting some things (like compression etc) and resubmitting??? or jsut pray it gets high enough votes so itll be approved as a highres pic.
i love the fisheye effect on this one. and everything else is just fine. while not a 10, a 9 for sure in my book.
wow, thats a really good shot. 9 in my book, tempted to make it a 10. nice lighting, great colors. i even like the composition, though it would be better IMHO if the climber was a bit higher (chalky arete). as it is the diagonal of that arete takes the focus away from the climber. but thats no biggie and since you cant really mend it (cropping this would be such a shame and wouldnt do any good for this little problem), fix it by resubmitting in highres so i can print it and stick it to my wall ;-)
OUCH!!!! thats bad
as for the "funny" foot, it could be a glitch wit scanning or theres a little outcropping of rock that covers it somewhat.<BR><BR>and youre really dumb if you thing jorg needs to PS hes pics. not everybody has to od it, you know. some know how to TAKE photos.
he soloed TAHT barefoot??? it looks really thin.
wow, that looks spectacular.
jt512: thats exactly what i love the belayer in this shot. he looks more scared than the climber. one doesnt see that often.
dont get upset because of morons. its pretty common to get some strange grades for your photos and its not even worth loosing breath over.
youve got some animal fetish or something??? /jk/<BR><BR>anyway, an above-the-average pic imho. and red hair really doesnt suit her.
looks like hes a but shabby when it comes to tying in. i like my fig8 nice and snug. how much is 29 aynway???<BR><BR>another nice shot. i almost tought it was orangeoverhang when i noticed the color. orange seems to be hes hallmark. love the focus and the blur of the hand just gives a bit of dynamic in the shot. lovely like usual.
i used to have a hat like that but it was black. lost it. possibly the best hat i ever had. after the one from lowe alpine i have now, offcourse. nice pic too.
damn, that thing looks stellar. and look at the face to the left. sweet.
wow, that looks spectacular.
thats what happened to a friend o mine during a 8a OS attempt. there were two "possible" sequences of chalked "holds". well, he choose the wrong one.
i like the other shot more. shadows make it more interesting. looks like fun.
this one is the best of the three i have seen to this point. btw, would anybody dare climb the roof under this thing????
thats a really nice oldskool pic.
damn, that looks nice.
thats a really nice pic. btw, o once thore a necklace like that in a similar situation. gotta get around to fixing it sometime....
wow. thats really good. didnt give a 10 in a long time, but this one deserves it. and this looks like my dream crag... no approach.
looks like a nice area.
a frian of mine was there. he really fell in love. he said that most rotues are overhanging ending with a bit of poorly bolted face that took away onsights. he said he neve cursed so much while climbing. must be fun.<BR><BR>oh, a nice pic too.
nice pic. i hate climbing in jeans.
yeah, spotter on the right really doesnt do anything good or the pic. but you cant really crop him out becasue then youd ahve to deal with crashpads. the chalkbag in the foreground is also kinda distracting, but in this case its imho a nice (unintentional i believe) touch. this pci wouldve been great with the whole spotter or no spotter at all and the whole chalkbag+crashpads. maybe crop about 2cms around the climer, but then you end up with a sterile (and boring IMHO) pic. nice looking prob though. and good timing.
one of the few butt-shots that are actually worth the space they take up on the server.
yes, thats a really bad belayer to have on such a route. kudos to the man for the send. respect.
SWEET!!!<BR><BR>are those sling permanent???
thats a fine shot thomas. the only 2 things about it that i dont like are the ppl on the right and that the spotters are cut off. sollution: IMHO this pic would work better if youd have take in the vertical position. that way youd get the whole spotters and wouldnt have any ppl on the right. or maybe a different angle to ger rid of everybody but the climber.
i KNEW that was ceuse when i saw it on the FP!!! nice pic too.
WOW, tats definitely a well-above-the-average shot. congrats.
damn, this place looks SWEET!!!
well, it is the local castle. it named "stari grad" or "the old castle", its above Celje, my hometown. btw, the "new" or "lower" castle is in the town.
damn, why are all castle hill shots so nice. just makes you wanna go there the moment you see one.
this looks really surreal, but the climber is too excluded from the whole picture. shouldve been more towards the center (like the golden section).
damn. i mean. damn. how many routes are on this cliff??? looks like hundreds to me. sweet.
this one is quite good. good sharpness and nice color. the only problem is the guy in the background. you shouldve asked him to move hes butt somewhere else ;)
the thing with chalk in the piece of thin cloths is... it snot chalk its resin. makes holds really sticky for a short time, but REALLY polishes them in the long run. definitely something id like to witness anywhere. almost as bad as chipping holds IMHO.
this one is quite good. maybe it wouldve been better zoomed out a bit you you could see the whole pad and the right top part of the boulder wouldnt be cut.
the ppl on the right and left that are cut are really disctracting. but i guess you cant really mend that.
IMHO this photo is much better than <a href="http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos.php?Action=ListPhoto&PhotoID=50280"> this one</a>. just the two boulders in the front are kinda dicracting (especially the one on the bottom right). and i wish you could see the top of the boulder.
this loos soooo nice. another great one man. keep them coming.
nice pic, but the belayer should definitely give him some slack. looks pretty hard. hate to ask that, but whats the rotue rated??
this is definitely one of the better shots i have seen in the last two months.
damn thats a nice pic. almost makes me miss snow.
looks like fun
well, chalk is a lot less visible on the rock thats colored differently... i dont think colored chalk would work here. nice pic.<BR<<BR>is this a multipitch climb??? looks fun.
OUCH!!! that looks really painfull. nice pic.
<a href="http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos.php?Action=Show&PhotoID=54268">link to the other photo for you lazy ones</a><BR><BR>thats a really cool shot.
wow, look at all those ppl <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/elconi13/esmilis/yikes.gif" alt="Shocked 6" />
this is a really outstanding pic. great composition and metering. id really love to see this in high res. luckily the climber in the shadow is really hard to see and isnt distracting.
does he have really long hair or is it jsut strange rock coloring????
thats a reallni nice one man.
ditto the cropping. apart from that i like it.
man, this looks so sweet. fisheye definitely works for this shot.
nice pic man.
kudos to the girl, but this pic could do wits some improvement. like cropping the spotter and pad. but then youd get a sterile photo. i guess a different angle wouldve been better here.
anyway, jorg, please note that the size restrictions for medium quality have gotten up a bit so you can upload larger (and better) pics. it really sucks to see a good pic really fckdup by bad compresion.
sweet. i guess hunting is banned in the area???
we are borg ;)<br><br>nice pic.
well... im speechless...
nice expression and a sweet pic... but get rid of the email.
man, thats a really good pic. id love to see in in higher quality.
another great pic. keep them coming.
i 3rd the hq request. this one would be really good in hq.
^^^^ ditto that.
man, thats a really spectacular shot. id really love to see it in high res.
nice1. just waht is the belayers hand doing on hes hip???
damn. thats a REALLY good ps. i love it. i just wish the quality would be a bit better.
damn. that looks really nice. id probably rope up too.
this is really close to a perfect photo. really good light and DOF works soooo nice. i love it. i just wish we could see a bit more of the route.
wow. nice pic.
nice pic. i just wish the climbers were a bit sharper. but i guess you
cant really have both the moon and climbers sharp with such a long lens.
i like the blur
it doesnt suck, but its nothing really special. i wish we could see the face. and imho it wouldve been better if your friend waited a few moments to catch him while actually clipping.
thats a really good shot. congrats.
looks like my kinda route :P
.12 trad classic. now thats saying something.
i dont know if hes really sitting (i really doubt it) but since he fell on the next few moves it doesnt really matter ascent-wise. and its more of a belayers mistake because i cant remember him yelling "take" on any of the attempts. no need for "take" on this route because oll falls are really clean because its about 45deg overhanging.
i think "improvised" or "homemade" is a better word for it. theyre a quicklink+11mm static line+biner formula. kinda fixed on harder lines, especially in the cave (whod want to remove them anyway) and perfectly safe because theyre new and shielded from water and (almost) sunlight.
i second the cropping, though i kinda like the scree in the background. excellent photo anyway. and she does it again. i remeber seeing her last year in kranj. she was almost too short for the womens final route. the emphasis is on almost. with some creative climbing she won.
seems like a great loss.
nice pic. the pilot was really lucky.
thats an excellent photo. i really love the facial expression. id just crop it a BIT less at the top (if it was cropped at all). and it works really well in BW.
nice view, but the quality of the photo is poor (compression sucks). too bad because it has great potention. this has to be your worst shot that i have seen. but its still way above average.
love the beard!!!
he definitely CAN freeclimb
ROFLMAO!!! thats a really slick one. ditto the ninja comment.
well, i see the route grade is the same as the pic grade;) another great one.
man, sweet photo. and you really should increase the image size to at least 100kB. this is just too small.
you could make it about 100kB. that would really improve the quality. nice pic too.
thats a really bad placement. if the bolt can be moved, do so. this is an accident waiting to happen.
thats a really good photo. definitely works. nice use of dof, light and focus.
this looks pretty intimidating. nice pic.
this looks really beautifull.
thats a really nice photo.
looks like a sweet route. nice pic too.<BR><BR>as for bolts, they may be a tad close together here since theres no groundfall potential, but like stated above this makes projecting the route easier. i personally hate it when bolts are that close together though. makes clipping a biotch because you cant really reach down and pull the rope.
this looks more like a slab than a face climb to me. nice pic though.
you really should play around with compression before you submit. this pic is really good and its a real shame that its so small.
this wouldve been really good if the right foot and the stone on the top leftish werent cut. still an above average pic though.
to have some fun;)
why campus the thing. arent you allowed to use your feet?
nice pic. and looks like a really thin route. LOL on the comment "something you really wish was bigger".
nice shot. gotta love the clouds.
thats a really nice photo. i like the hands and dont like the pants:P
good idea with the nail polish. definitely a nice effect.
pretty looking cave and a fun looking route. where in italy is it?
oh, forgot to mention the most important thing.<BR><BR>there were NO other climbers at the crag the whole day. me and my buddy had the whole 200+ routes all for ourselves. it was really close to what i imagine heaven to be.
nice back/shoulder definition. and i definitely dig tha ponytails.<BR><BR>oh, and a nice pic too :-P
thanks for the comments. i have tried to pus something on the top to mask the edge, but couldnt really find anything that would do it the way id like it so i just decided to leave it as it is.
ok, lets adress some issues:<br>
1) where is the rope?? the rope is probably clipped to a draw near hes
waist, then hidden by hes body and not visible further down the route
because of DOF and its color.<br>
2) hes left foot not attached... ever heard of barn door? looks like the picture perfect one to me.<br>
3) pants not draped... if the leg has just started moving outside and
down like any good barndooring leg will, the pants are draped... but
onthe other side of the leg.<br>
4) harness being lifted... i cant see it and the rope doesnt look under
tension to me, but there are draws across hes hip. but all these points
have nothing whatsoever to do with the authenticy of this photo, but
everything to do with the authenticy of the ascent (if he had indeed
weighted the rope, its not a free ascent).<BR>and that on hes chin is hes hand on what looks like a pinch hold.<br><br>oh, btw, a great photo. id really love it in poster form on my wall. gotta love the nasty sloper and the intensity of the model.
sick photo. i love both the subject and execution. really something different.
dont worry about @sshole bombers. once your photo gets a good average, such obvious deviations wont be counted in the average.<BR<BR>thats one really good shot. and a great idea for how to take it. kudos for doing it manually.
looks like a stellar climb. id really love to give it a go.
wouldve been far better if you used flash to light the bottom part of the pic.
is this as pumpy as it looks??
nice shot. what was the exposure time?
is it just me, or the horizont isnt horizontal??:-P
this looks really thin.
damn, this looks sick.
this is a pretty good shot, but its a shame you didnt really use all the potetial you had. you shouldve waited a bit for the climber to get into a better pose and shot a bit more to the right (i think the golden section would do wonders here).
damn that looks nice. and what does "poor belay" in the RDB mean??
mike, that photo of the precious move is almost better. gotta love the facial expression. and i didnt doubt the ascent. i just said that it doesnt matter for the photo if he weighted the rope or not.
i think this shot would work better if it was taken in a horizontal position.
damn. thats a really cool shot.
thats a REALLY good shot.
you seem to make even buttshots interesting LOL.<BR><BR>and not a single comment yet about the bolted crack.
looks like a fun route.
i HAVE to do this route.
i HAVE to go there. maybe ill get lucky this summer...
yes, and its a really sad day for the photo database :P
SWEET. i really like the fact that the author is completely invisible.
nice pic. the only thing i dont like is the guy in the bottom right corner.
alpinestar... that cannot be true. if it is it really sucks. it is a public place after all.
you shouldve taken the time to rotate it and crop that annoying finger.
look at that choss pile. and how long a drop would be a reslut of a misstep?
another great one. keep them coming.
dig the cap. and jreds comment is right on the mark.
man, that looks ripe for some serious tendon snapping. i really like the pic.
thats one really picturesque route. i think i saw a really good pic of it in some mag. cant remeber wich though.<BR><BR>and the url really ruins the pic. why not just put in the description?
dont worry about a 3. its called bombing and ist worth your nerves. it will be discarded anyway if the pic gets enough high votes.<BR><BR>looks a bit blurry to me too, but i think its the compression.
well, thats usually the case here. i liked it. 7.
LOLOL majid. did you notice that he doesnt have a helmet??<BR><BR>and if he fell two times already i sure hope it wasnt on the first draw. and this is partially the belayers fault. i always warn my leader if hes about to backclip or somesuch.
well, 9+ is around 5.13a. another good shot.
damn, you really did it with this one. amazing. im actually speechless. 10.
now thats how youre supposed to PS an URL into an image.
wheres the climber?? on the far right centre??
what about filesize??? i never had any problems with autoresize. nice pic nevertheless.
now thats the kind of ornament i want in my future garden. looks like it has some sweet problems.
nice pic. good composition.
nice one. finally an ice shot worhy of the FP. ALMOST makes me wanna do some ice...
yes, NS welton does indeed consistently upload superior photos. the
nuber of great photographers on this site is growing and growing.
+1 for the discreet url. nice pic. and whats that lefthand hold?? looks like nothing.
nice pic. why post at only 34k when you have the enormous 128k allowed??
great shot. just a bit too red for my taste.
that chamonix highline is really something. this shot is pretty cool too.
because he doenst have matching tools??
Due to the fact that the last clip is on her right, i thinks its really
unlikely that her left leg is inside rope. though it does look that way.
nice pic too.
jup, that seems to be the name of the route. its a 5.9 offwidth, which means that its probably something around 5.10+ :-P
thats really spectacular... play around a bit with compression, you have lots of space left and this pic deserves it.
the colors really make this shot. i love it. theyre almost surreal.
outstanding shot. your shots probably get 90% of the 10s that i give out. i only wish the face was a bit lighter, but i cant give it a 9.5.
oh, one more thing... i vote for magazine quality for this one.
wow, thats a really superb pic. should be in a mag.
i envy you SO much. id kill to be on kalymnos right now.
resistance=power endurance. and the RDB says the route is .12d :-P
i wish the climber was better visible. hes face and right lega are pretty much in the shadow.
get ready for stupid comments ;-P. nice pic. i like the blue too.
i actually love the chalk on this shot. it difinitely brings out the geometry. sweet shot.<BR><BR>and loose the tag in the corner. or at least make it less noticable. spend some more time in PS and "engrave" it or something.
paklenica ruls :-P
its ireland... kinda hard not to boulder in the rain :-P
must... go... to... nz....
i see the rope too. you can just barely make it out.
sweet pic. and i really like the url for a change.
its a bit underexposed for my taste.
de profundis clamavi
sweet. are there any routes on the peaks in the background?
no ropeburn possible here because the rope is not behind hes leg. nice pic.
this is so sharp you could split hairs with it. i like it. but be carefull, it works for this shot, but it may not work for others. and id really like some more space at the top.
you should try to sell this for a red chili add.
nice pic. looks kinda like euro limestone.
what happens next depends on the handhold and the climbers ability to control the swing.
a really fine pic. whats the color version like?? or did you use a bw film??
sweet pic. and it looks like a painfull fall. cheesegrater on both sides.
that trianglis piece of rock looks like its gonna pop straight out. nice pic.
i wouldnt rotate it. it looks too unnatural to me if rotated. its a solid pic as it is. you shouldve instructed the climber to grimace a bit. such calm face doesnt suit a .12a crux.
nice use of the fisheye. thats a really great shot.
sweet. i think this is the best shot in the series.
an above average shot, but the light is a bit too sharp for my taste.
tufas as far as the eye can see. looks like my kind of place.
nice pic. and it looks like ill need to rain a little bit harder.
that shot is amongst the best ones i have seen. i love it.
how do you manage to get those colors?? theyre just amazing.
thomas, my thoughts exactly. this has jörg written all over it. which, offcourse is not a bad thing. an outstanding pic. love the green and the way you implemented your url. fisheye or regular wideangle??
now, those are some serious slopers.
i meant i need to train a little hader. somehow that t got away.
now this is how a butt shot should look like :-P
wow, stellar photo. someting different about it, but i cant really place the finger on it. its just isnt like the normal climbing shots we get. could be the composition with arete and light.<br><br> i didnt give a 10 in a long while, but this one definitely deserves it.
nice shot. just hes pants shouldve had different color. hes legs kinda disappear. and the wall under him seems a bit overexposed to me. otherwise, as usual, a stellar shot.
LOL, this is almost exacly like a boulder a friend of mine created in our gym.
was it crowded that day??? sweet shot philbox! if the horizont was level, id give it a 10.
i woulnt be happy if i was in that spot either. stellar shot.
commenting on ethics at a crag youve never even been close to is like establishing 'democracy' in a country most of your citizens cant even find on a map. lets face it, different ppl, different customs. 'wneh in rome, do as romans do' comes to mind.<br><br>sweet shot.
SWEET!!!! my hear starts pumping just from looking at this.
i LOVE the approach.
rad PS skills man. it looks pretty realy to me :P
sweet photo. and it looks like a difficult route. did he manage the onsight (lead offcourse, no TR bs here obviously :P)
yes, that swing looks really painfull.
i like it. you dont see a double mirror shot like that every day.
wow, that is an awesome photo.
sweet shot. but if i were you, id make the anchor on the right dissapear. it looks like an artifact.
sweet sloper. i hope the rock offers some friction...<br><br>though i think this photo would work better if you cropped it on the left (experiment a bit; keep the belayer or crop to the climber).
spectacular pic. if i could see the face, i would give it a 10.
SWEET photo (and not just because of the model, thought it does give it a sugar coating). i really like the light and colors on this one.
check out the chalk on that ledge on the bottom left. sweet photo.
no, that was filmed in verdon (or was it gorges du tarn?), france. not 100% about the crag, but it was definitely in france. sweet show.
damn, i guess this is not a climb for homer simpson.
how far were you if you were shooting with the 480mm?? and how on earh did you remeber all that letters... well, if it cost as much as the name is long, id probably remeber too :P
i dont know what it is, but theres something in this photo that i really like. its a superb shot.
this looks almost exactly like mišja peč, slovenia.
its a but shot, but its two notches above your usual crack. i like it.
this place looks like fun. where exactly is it?
i cant put my finger on it, but something makes this pic really amazing. i love it.
where in former yugoslavia is this place? serbia or montenegro?
anther photo with FP potential and again no votes...
sweet pic. why didnt you allow the votes? that is FP material.
sweet photo. and not just because of the model.
gotta love the facial expression on this one.
dont worry about the 1. if your pic gets rated high enough (like it currently is), it will be ignored.
i like it how the climber looks like an extension of the spire. sweet shot.
ahhhhh. jorg strikes again. another sweet shot, but i would love it even more if it were a bit bigger.
hes left hand looks REALLY weird. anyway, a really artistic photo. almost looks like a painting.
that would be the group on the shield dynamicpanda was talking about.
the horizon IS crooked. about 10deg.
i guess this is around 3-5m (9-15ft) off the deck. and hes comfortable because he already pulled the crux which is the first few moves and he knows he can do the rest.
this pic is really good.
AND they climb. im going to start looking for a ticket to venezuela...
wow. and who cares about the foot.
metal pro is forbidden at elsandstein. so that knotted slings hanging from hes harness ARE hes pro.
greetings to iran and my your government and the rest of the world find a solution that wont make things worse than they already are.
impressive. enforce it indeed. kudos to the man.
green anyone? nice photo.
bur really kills this one. its really a shame, it wouldve been pretty good without it.
PS or not, that is sweet.
sweet shot. and you can just make out my yacht in the background ;-D
wow. arent those bikini hotties also from venezuela?? another reason for a visit :P
why did you submit the same photo twice?? http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos/Sport/DWS_in_Venezuela_86020.html
its rappel, not reppel ;)
gotta love the bruised knees.
you really captured THE moment.
and i love sungams comment :P
wow, this looks like a really fun line.
ARRRRGH i need friction :P good shot.
wow, that grass is so GREEN.
kung pow :P
COMMITED!!! you really captured the moment. i wouldve given it 5* if you cleaned up the mess on the ground a bit. its kindof distracting.
im guessing well be seeing this one on the FP in a short while. great shot.
is the foot of the crag really that narrow or is it just the fog?
this looks really nice and pretty hard. how high is it?
i can imagine. must be really fun to climb there ;)
nice shot, but... you really shouldve cleaned up all the stuff on the foot of the crag, its distracting especially because otherwise the pic is kindof monocolor ;)
wow, great shot. and it looks like a really fun route. so, if that is pitch 2 and it ends 3m above the top of the pic (i assume there are anchors), how do you get down? double ropes, or is there another route to the top and you walk down?
this is one of the best idoor shots i have ever seen, and not just because of the thong.
it literally means "the way of the sodomists", and from the pic i guess one can tell why. sweet shot ;)
are the photo eds sure about the copyrights on this one?
so, what did you brake??
sweet photo. i gave it 5 because its a really good buttshot and you really dont see many of them. 12a trad onsight... kudos.
this shot is just amazing. i can almost hear the scream.
great pic. ill go nostradamus on this one and predict well see it on the FP really soon.
whats the story behind the facial expression?
sweet photo. looks like a fun problem.
i really need to go to tirol. soon.
that is really good for a butt shot
you really MUST resubmit it in a larger format. this is a really good pic and the tiny size does not do it justice.
for some reason, i dont like the fisheye effect on this pic. still a really good pic though.
nice shot... 200ft pitch? doubles/twins or do you walk down?
when i was in greece, the sea was always that clear. it was quite amazing. perfect for snorkeling.
wow, this shot is just amazing. id give it 6 stars.
this is really breathtaking.
not just her, the whole image is so crisp you could cut something with it. a really stellar photo.
different and i like it.
this is probably the best bouldering shot i have seen in months.
thats pretty good for a butt shot :P
since you obviously felt a bit bad because i gave this photo one star, let me explain why:
a) its a butt shot. those are usually pretty bad.
b) uninteresting movement
c) the whole photo is fuzzy. you probably moved the camera while taking it.
d) washed out sky. well, you sometimes cant really help with that unless you do some PS.
no hard feelings ;)
wouldve been better if you didnt cut the legs ;)
yaay, look at the happy people.
this photo is confusing :D
this photo really tells a story.
great shot phil. i really love it how my eye instantly focused on the climber and i also really like the warm colors.
wow, amazing scenery.
"i was promised jugs and all i got were jibs" :D
spectacular. you really nailed the timing (and everything else for that matter). those waves below are beckoning :D
wow, fantastic colors.
is it even possible to take a bad photo of castle hill???
or colored holds :D
too bad the climber is too dark. i could have been a really stellar pic.
good photo. zillertal is really nice. and you just cant make a bad photo with such background ;)
sweet. i would so buy a poster with this pic :D
well, since its called 'umbilical cord' i guess it links baby with mommy ;)
sweet. when i looked at the pic on the default size, i couldnt see the second draw and i thought 'if that (first) draw is the only pro, then allah (or any god for that matter) needs to protect him' ;)
i knew this one was from you instantly when i saw it on the FP. theres just something recognizable in your shots;)
omg, thats a really spectacular photo. and thats some bouldering cave :D
spectacular. as usual ;)
nice shot. but personally i thing i would have dodged the cliffs in the background a bit because they are kindof distracting. ill play around a bit in ps and tell you what comes out ;)
wow, would you look at all that rock :D
so, how did you anchor that thing so it doesnt fall over?? :P
well, if he didnt wear a helmet, hes hair wouldve gotten wet ;)
i dont think you could psyche me into leading this one. i hate chimney alsmost as much as polished routes. combined...
oh, what happens if your legs ge above your head?? :P
damn. i am so puttin this place onto the top of my 'places to climb before i die' list. right under new zealand.
id so climb that :D
this looks really sweet. how long is it? and how hard?
wow. this is a really sweet shot. the only thing id change is getting the whole set of prints on bottom left.
this looks to me like verdon or gorges du tarn. just guessing of course. sweet shot too ;)
what a sweet pooch.
wow, nice pic. and it looks like a really fun route.
i would love to have something like that a few minutes from my house ;)
wow. i never dreamed that iran had places like this. well, you learn something new every day ;)
only 6a?? now this is on the top of my tick list :D theres something really nice with easy scenic routes :D
wow, this is a really superb shot. i love the perspective.
wow. nice pic. how did you manage to get the halo around the slackliner?
hehe... nice pic. funny too :D
its a real shame that you messed up the cropping. it wouldve been a sure 4 if not 5 otherwise.
this looks worthy of a try :D
stellar pic. i really love the clouds in the background.
kudos to you ;)
this is one of the best bouldering shots i have ever seen. it makes my palms sweat.
just look at those mountains in the BG.
wow and i thought the crowds here were bad.
sweet photol. i also have a pair of talons that i got as a tester :D i absolutely love these shoes :D
this is one of the best bouldering shots i have ever seen.
as usual for jorg, another excellent shot. keep them coming ;)
is it polished or wet??
