tim: -- you're dead on -- its a 25 red + a polarizer filter -- taken around 12:30 pm .. so its dead on the middle of the day -- lost alot of detail -- but gained alot of contrast ... the high contrast allowed me to use the few clouds in the sky ..
kristin: -- hehe -- i took this photo in may 2002 .. -- too bad its raining this weekend -- you miseed great weather at pinns last weekend ..
braaaaaadley: -- this frame was shot on Kodak TCN-400 .. (thats their off-the shelf C-41 black and white film) .. i now use teir other C-41 often (Supra BW) .. great grain (as sharp as TMAX-100 in my opinion) --
-- i was in yosemite last weekend -- AWESOME weather -- no crowds -- walked right up to after six at 10 am .. and got right on it -- no waiting ..
Owens is a sport crag -- the ethics there are that anything is boltable .. you'll find lots of cracks that have bolts right next to them. --
eh -- the van could be removed digitally if needed -- no need to crop .. :-) -- i love this shot -- great shot.
awesome shot -- the beauty of this pitch is that all the placements underneath the roof are C1.. fun to lead and fun to follow ..
damm .. i can just see what the SAR guys would have thought if they had to rescue you int hat costime.. :-) .. nice shot .. you can tell its not doctored .. the shadows are all in the right place.
7 days on the wall
*great shot* -- looks like the belayer forgot his belay seat at home! --ouch-- .. standing on aiders while belaying's gotta suck!
this has to be one my favorite big wall shots ..
LOL -- ROTFL .. :-)
lambone: .. taha! -- i fell about a 1 1/2 body lengths above where he is! .. great pitch! ..
this is a pretty amazing picture -- just look at the crack coming up the face .
thats where i took my first trad fall .. nice solo!
.. haha .. yum -- great shot .. olaf what did you expect .. its rock climbing.com ..
haha! -- i brought an umbrella on my ascent of zodiac too -- though when you solo you dont get to take a break and bask under the cover of the umbrella .. -- got the idea from the supertopo gallery.
thats a great spot -- you have this thin crack to to climb with a slab underneath to catch you if you blow it .. :-) ... looking good girls!
holdplease2: .. haha -- no way .. no expiration date.. (i didn't even look for one) .. i hopefully i'lll be able to drag my ass up something else this year.. and then i can talk about something new .. .. oh and yes .. i was slow as f*ck .. about 2 pitches a day --
you girls kick some serious ass!! .. i'm loving all the pictures you goit on zodiac ..
i think the flake section goes free at a failry moderate rate .. until you hit the roof..
there is a continous crack .. but its tiny .. and the gear sucks .. (in some places the crack goes down to RURP and head size) .. this was definately the technichal crux for me..
i still can't believe that some people have freed that pitch .. there are no footholds!
absolutely stunning ..
nice shot --
very nice work -- i find that the lens flare is placed too much in the center and takes away from the effect .. (it makes itself the center of attention) -- where the more interesting stuff is to the sides) --
love that pitch .. steep and tough ..
