Another classic shot by Warren. The man knows his camera!
Great shot. I love the contrast.
Enough of the damn sunset, ridge, lake shots. Isn't this a rock climbing site. Show people rock climbing damnit. If I want a pretty sunset I will look out my damn window. ps. This comment is not directed to the person who submitted this pic, it is just a general comment.
True nagatana. You should see the slide. It is beautiful!
Great route and great pic!
Hey Adam. Climbing only 2 times in a year and a half has taken a toll on my strength, but it is slowly coming back. I feel psyched to climb again, so the time off was very helpful. I was so burnt out, I needed the break. Louie is kickin ass as usual. You would think he would mellow out, yea right.
And to be honest. I have no clue what the grade is or the name of this problem. All i remember is that it was on the right side of the boulder and just a few moves.
Oh, you screwball. No I did not look at your profile. I always knew it as the name associated with the guy that looked like he was hit by a dump truck. Now I get it (and feel like an ass). How are you?
Um, there are jugs to the first bolt and if I remember corectly, the route is 5.9. It got the 10 rating when the new Desert Rock books came out. Damn inflation.
Whenever you are driving!
Good send and cool looking rock!
Seeing how young Louie looks in this pic, I would imagine it was prior to J-Tree entering the Nazi National Park system.
Jack looks so damn good, I think I want him!
How about a two? How is this climbing?
Wow, an actual climbing picture on the site. A good one too!
Better start taking the time then.
You also see SUV ads in Rock & Ice and Climbing. Guess that means they are part of the climbing culture too. I think I will post a picture of me watching TV. I do have to bust that 5.4 move to get on the couch.
Shawn, relax. I am just giving the people who got their panties all in a bunch a little grief. I think the picture is good, and, in fact, it is quite pretty with the river in the background. I also think it takes a lot of talent and skill to walk a line, especially a high line. I may not agree with it being on a climbing website, but in the end, it does not affect me at all. So, I don't really care about slacklining pictures being on this website. Plus, it is not my website. I am just a user. Although I will probably continue to get people riled up because it is so damn easy.
Awesome job! With his hand size, he needs to head to Indian Creek and crank off some hard ones. Hell, I will drive.
Nice choss pile.
"Is there NOWHERE else to place any gear besides the one blue alien? Not pretty. -- taualum23"
You can actually place a lot of gear, but you are faced with placing gear in a tuff section versus running it to a good hold and placing gear (If you call that "running it" to the jug hold you can clearly see in the pic). The guy could have pulled up a move and placed a green alien just above the blue, which may have prevented all the drama!
I sure see this a lot from her. In fact, she is doing it right now!
About time you old man.
What, he can't clip from the next jug?
It has been a long time since I did the route, but if my memory is right it is 11+. #3 camalots for a looooong ways.
Umm, FFA usually means with a rope. So, maybe you need to figure out what these terms mean!
It is actually an endurance climb and the rock is way solid!
nice bent gate on the second bolt
If you click "view original" there is less blue and the quality is way better.
12c. great route.
