Just so you know, thats actually what is called the 5.10 Wall. The Pump Wall is further up the hill.
I love NC!
Like your description of the crux! I had to do some 'on the fly' meditation.
Notice the fin-shapped ledge in the back ground... thats the belay ledge for Carpe Free'um and one of the nicest views in all of the Gorge.
I think that might be Beer Bellies!? Furthest, right-most bolted route at Sauratown?
That route is gem for sure!
I recognize this boulder.... I've spent way too much time @ 2 Mile. Probably should be filed under Moore's Wall/2Mile as this is quite a ways from Sauratown Mt.
Goober, is that Freebird or Shake and Bake?
Hey Goober, whatcha callin' this one? Looks pretty nice.
The only people that think NC doesn't have steep rock, have never climbed in NC!
great climb! great area!
Nice Chris!... your photo made my day! Stuck at work... now I'm reliving climbing out at Elephant Rock and the Killer Pillar.
Forklift, its great! Get on it, the pro is great and the pump is memorable.
Strong work Matt!
Rascal, um er I mean Pascal floats!
Rad route! Good job on the FA.
The tree makes for a nice soft 'catch' though!
Nate, did we walk past this the day that my wallet fell out of my pack? I distinctly remember some steep, blocky stuff.
Goober, that was a helluva fun route. Can't wait to go back and do the 2nd and 3rd pitches!
We were saying it on our first visits there in the mid 90s... so hell it might out last all of us.
Meesh, you're not old... I'm old!
.... drawing a '3 dimensional conclusion' from a '2 dimensional' image... ??!
Nice shirt Mang!
Tony the Tiger, Tit Speed, and Scenice Adult make a trio of cool lines.
Schweet! My onsight resume just got an upgrade.
umm, yep, that's a good one!
Totally boulderable. I think Stuey has since returned and climbed it cordless. We were just hiking past it one day and had our gear on. With a big pad or two, I'll boulder it!
funny, after climbing the face to the right, we looked at that arete. looks cool!
this warms my heart!
