it's not a look of pain, it's a look that comes from reaching for a faraway (if you're short) hold. thanks for all the comments...
uncluttered and enchanting. great job merrick.
i was waiting for that. it's just a big-ass hood on a down jacket.
sorry. just for avatar.
i think this was shot in october a few years ago. i've never tried to go in january. sounds cold.
kachoong: this had two strobes on it. thanks.
thanks for the comments everyone. chilli, this was shot with a t/s, so the plane of focus cuts through him and the ice directly behind him. i think the compression is making him look soft. thanks for looking!
thanks for the comments guys. t/s means tilt/shift in this case.
as far as taste goes, i agree completely. unfortunately the usage required being this close and getting higher wasn't happening. strobes were quantum x2s off a lumedyne pack. thanks for all the comments guys.
thanks guys. shot with a 15mm fisheye.
@monkeyintraining: didn't plan out all the contrast things you pointed out; i think i just got lucky. as far as the patch of green, nothing ever gets cloned in or out (unless it's dust). thanks for the comments.
nope, just a climber with two last names. thanks for the comments.
