I think a figure 9
He isn't posing for the picture. He climbs and I just take pictures. I am more of a journalistic type of photographer.
The spotter will catch/direct the fall. The climber will barn door out to the right, not fall straight down during this move.
Yes the boulder is called 010101.
Hi cragman - I used a Nikon FM2 with a 24mm lens. Fuji 100F Provia film. Used Polaroid 35mm Sprint Scan film scanner. I need to do a better job correcting color in Photoshop.
Great Job !!! This route is on my tick list when the weather cools down. What pitch are you at/on.
It was early morning and the sun was just hitting the wall. We had just finished climbing Prodigal Sun the day before and bivied were I took the picture. Used Nikon FM2 with 24mm 2.8 lens and Fuji Provia F100 film. Hand held shot at f4 / 125 sec.
Maybe because I used a 24mm lens the purple #4 camalot looks bigger than it really is. But I did use it twice on pitch #10.
Looks like FUN !!!
Looks like FUN !!!
GREAT IMAGE !!!
Send MORE --- love big wall images.
I had a top rope set up on the route to the right of this one. The route is very overhanging, so I was about 6' from the wall when I took this shot. I jugged up a static line to get into position, used a Nikon F3 with an 85mm lens.
GREAT SHOT !!!
Another Great Image !!!
Great image, I am now motivated !!!
jono13 --- its not all about climbing --- Especially in Big Wall climbing. Its about logistics. Planning, organization, timing, getting the stuff to the base, fixing, CLIMBING and getting down. Its the total experience. Sorting your gear, making important decisions here, can make a big difference later on.
Kind of an artistic affect - I like it !!!
nICE poster :)
What a great view ! ! !
Great image !!!
Nice color --- what type of film are you using --- are you using any filters --- any flash fill !!!
Great Image --- perfect.
When you clean a pitch done by PassThePitonPete be prepared to CLEAN A LOT OF PINS. My right arm was killing me after I cleaned all the pins off the 3rd pitch of Lunar Eclipse.
Hi Pete --- how many D batteries does that ghetto blaster take !!!
Yes, memories ----- I remember rapping off after doing the Kor Roof to bivy on Dinner Ledge.
The wind was blowing hard, causing me to spin during the rappel, plus the exposure was GREAT.
High bigwalling: This modified hook works great in worn out bat hook holes on sand stone like P7 the "Amoeba Pitch" on Lunar Ecstasy.
Great Image Pete --- :)
Great, just great.
Hi Lynn & Mike - Thanks for the support! Ben is a great wall partner --- he is my free climbing rope gun :) We topped out on Oct. 1, 2003 at 5:00pm after spending 3 nights on the wall.
Later this month, hopefully a short wall SPACE SHOT in Zion, Ut. Next Spring 2004 warm up on Wet Denim Daydream - Leaning Tower, then Ten Days After - Washington's Column. Fall 2004 do North America Wall and Mescalito.
LOVE YOUR PICTURES !!! YOUR DOING GREAT....
