Nice pic. Can't remember the name of the climb righ now, but its rated somewhere around M5/M5+. Mental Jewelry (M6+) climbs the rock to the right of His and another M6+ climbs the rock to the left of Hers. -25 I've been in Grotto in those temps before. Anyways, Great pic :)
Sweet pic! Love how you caught the contortionist appearence of his right hand and the old school suspenders are great. I can feel the pain in my hands just looking at it
Some of the sharpness of the photo was lost when I reduced the size :(
"So thats what those springy things with the trigger are supposed to look like..... and all this time I was mooring the sail boat with them down in the harbour" Hahaha I love it!
Holy Crap! That's the best porn I've seen in weeks! It's pics like this that make my life expensive.... now I have to plan another trip. Amazing photo!
Hey look he's flapping so fast he's flying up to his high point.... oh, wait, he falling :o) Schweet pic. Love seeing mid fall shots on huge overhangs!
Fess up who voted the 1!?
Holy Crap, Batman! Drooooolllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is so unfair to see a pic like this while I'm at work. Amazing, truely amazing!
It the great adventures of the camo climber.... Nice pic. Love it.
I'm at a loss for words... that place looks awsome.
SCHWWEEEEET! Now, where are the pics of the damage done by the ice? Good going, great pic.
Damn! Another place I have to go to!
I have no words other than WOW!
Sweet, I could winch my truck off that!
Over kill is good, but dddeeeeaaaaaaammmnnnnN! :)
Ha! This is great... it can double as a gearwhore's test. Whick pic is whick brand? :)
Would this be some sort of auto block type of hitch?
You crazy rig. What were you thinking...
That's me boy! Best dog I've ever owned. Just over 18 Months old in this pic, and weighs more than most boulderers.
Looking Down after the First Accent of "5 Dirty Nuts in 4 Placements" - Kananaskis
Sed, the Bullmastiff... my dog... the one in the pic is the dog I take new routing... BTW I don't do Sport and avoid Pebble Wrestling whenever possible, which is almost always.
We could always change the name.
So, these would be the bluffs that were eventually blown up to make room for those shanky condos in North Van? Shame.
Oh nO3z! Mo'z t3H AX3 K1LL3R!
Moose if you want more old school I'll make sure he's wearing his dad's Super Sherpas, with SMC strap-on crampons, an alpine hammer in one hand an a humminbird in the other... with a swami belt, an old JB helmet, and a length of Goldline. All of which we can round up for the weekend.
Yikes? No way. The kid is light. Solid stance, low potential for horizontal forces, 100 pound weight difference in my favour, and his Dad who's been climbing since the early 70's taking the pic, giving me props.
Body belay over the shoulder comes from the same era as the hip belay, so yes moose, somewhat old school... but oft used by many a crazy Canadian.
Don't see any Method? The Method is called "Active Short-Roping". But hey, no-one on here really gets out climbing, right, and as such wouldn't know jack about moving efficiently using Alpine techniques to limit the time of exposure to objective hazards.
It's the Abominable Snow-Kevin!
Great pic. If you were to do anything else to it to make it better I would crop out the trees. They seem to distract from the 'feel' of it. Good job on the Photo!
Increadible! Love it... now I'll have to go there, jsut need to get that vacation time up again.
Rest in Peace Sty. Rise and Fall, you're onto climbing the big lines now.
Just one comment to the climber in the pic, "HEELS DOWN!"
I only see sport draws... but there appears to be a crack. Hmmm...
Haggis n33Dz teh l3SS0nZ in t3h sl4bz cL1m81nGz!
Hey, uh, majid... if your Cruiser goes missing... it , uh, wasn't me.
There's a "Moe's" Valley? I thought Joe's Valley? Wait a second... that could be twisted.
I believe you're thinking of "The Final Battle" at Kanga... this is at a different Crag. I'd like to give the other one a shot though.
Crazy. Not sure what to think of it. I like the abstract, but you sure you haven't been doing a little too much roped soloing lately?
Safe splashdown fail!
Mrs. The_Climber is half my weight and has never belayed (yet) anyone. Also, it is rare that a rockies chossaddict gets a chance to rope solo on rock as good as Squamish granite.
Oh Gawd! Things like this happen in the real world?! Runnaway! The Pebble Wrestlers are coming to get us!
OUCH ouchOUTCH oAAAAaaahhhhhhhhhhh, I can't look anymore. I've had too many ankle injuries myself to look more.
Very cool setting!
Oh noes!!!! It's the future of the BVX!!!!!!!!!!111111one1
But, Magnus.... where's the Mohawk?!
needrock.... it's not the grade we're looking at.
You need to use all that training at your local ice gym and make a road trip out here.
