It's a rappelling shot which only works if the light is stunning. the climber is back lit and just a blob of black.. nice setting so that spot has potentual. Needs to be a leader shot , front lit with early morning or evening light, overal grade C+
holy $#!&!! I climbed with that dude once 2 years ago. we had a good day and they all burned in my buss but I had no clue that he was such a born bad assse.
This is my first attempt to post a photo. I sized it pretty small 4X6 at 72 dpi so it would not take up too much space but it dosent look as good as before I shrunk it?
The photo op was there, unfourtunatly you forgott the fill flash (relativly slow shutter speed withrear curtain flash would have been nice) choice of background and shooting angle is lame as well as the noob in the background. how did this snapshot get on the front page????????????????
I like the mist/smogg. its hard to go wrong onCCC. one of those placed were you can actualy get a great shot while belaying. Be nic e if the climber wasen't quite as headless, but it definatly works
average photo. verry blue, maby a bit of fill flash would help the color. it looks like a tree is coming out of his butt. it's tough to get good shots this close to the deck and in the deep woods .
the fact that it is soft is not good!!!! also your horrizon line is too close to the center of the frame. Try to split you immage in 3rds when shooting landscape. maby it would have worked better as a horizontal?? Great light!!
looks pretty fun. Were is it???
too bad you couldn't nave gotten the poochs attention. It would be a better shot if the dog was looking up and not coming out of the belayers head
Not a bad digital camea. Nikon D100. The file is 3 megs. I resized it at 4x6 at 100dpi and when I submited it, it told me it was too big and was being automaticly compressed? I am trying to have a decent photo that shows this section of the cliff. Not trying to win any prizes here but I wish I could get this to look better.
It looks like they compressed the heck out of this when it was automaticly resized?
Great content and composition. Should have used fill flash to darken the over exposed background
decent composition and exposure. It looks like the climber is sewing it up which takes away from the action/adventure qualitys of a climbing photo. much more dramatic if the rope hangs down a bit. content is important. No matter how great the compisition is a can of soup is just a can of soup, but if there is a killer babe on the lable it gets interesting, I'le give it a 6
My calfs hurt and my sphincter tightens just looking at this shot!!!!
awsome shot. definatly a 10!!!!! there is no WAY you should be giveing a shot like that away for free. the problem with these sites is that they de value the work of the real photographers. get it published and GET PAID FOR IT PLEASE.
Awsome composition and subject matter but the exposuer needs work:) Should have used a graduated netural density filter or the shadows and highlights button:)
Totaly fckin Lame to bolt next to a perfect hand crack!!
great shot, a 10. the nut placement is OK not great. fine for aid but just flared enough that with the outward angle it may not be as hot for free climbing. one of those placements that just might wiggle out as you climb by:)
It bothers me that the climber is out of focus in this shot. it is too large of a soft area. Tripod and smaller apperature would have worked for me.
I like it just tha way it is. that is the perspective of being on a wall.AAAAA+++++
Excelent photo. Wonder if the noise in the sky is from compressing for the web? I have not fooled arround too much with long exposures and digital so i don't know how good they are. maby this is one area where crome still rules?
looks like your about to be ravaged:)
