thats some awesome rock
The first pubic picture of the secret government nuclear test sites in New Mexico...
Nice pic, looks like a good climb.
I love the fact that the silhouette is purely black.
I like the composition of this pic, but it would be more interesting if the climber was more active.
You should re-crop the picture and cut out the rock in the upper right corner. Other than that its a good pic.
Looks like he dipped his hands in white paint.
I love how wide angle lenses distort things.
Did you use a wide angle lense on this picture?
Is that a toothbrush hanging from his chockbag? Right on.
Thats an awesome use of a slow shutter speed.
Looks much better after the cropping. Good job.
Thats some crazy lookin rock.
Was the corn still in the silo during the comp??
yea the colors are good, but it would be a better photo if we could see what was going on
That crack is super smooth. Ohhhhh yea.
I dig the blue. Did you use a filter?
I dig the blue. Did you use a filter?
Crazy overhang man.
You do realize rattlesnakes are poisonous right?
Colors seem to be a bit dull. Can you fix that in photoshop? Other than that its an awesome pic.
Thats definately a weird hand hold. Looks like the rock has a zit or something. Good pic though.
Thats where I left my keys...of course.
Damn that looks like fun. Climbing, swimming, anything but sitting here in Boise where its cold and wet.
Did you set him up to fall so you could get it so perfectly on film?
It would be funny if he spit on the dude rappelling.
yes please we demand a crop!
Yes, get yourself a drill and wrecklessly bolt the local crag without a thought or care in the world...
Do you guys climb in those ties?
I love barefoot climbing.
such a fun climb
is that at the traverse wall?? i live in boise and climb at tablerock all the time but i cant seem to figure out where that is
oh my god, so many good pics up today
It must be modern art...
I love the composition and the colors. I just wish it was more in focus!!
yea there was an article in 'climbing' on wales slate, theres even a pic of some dude climbing 5.14a. craziness
Teach your buddy to spot man.
Nice pic man, I remember the day this pic was taken. I knew I recognized that face from somewhere.
Awesome shot, you captured the focus and intensity so well.
Damn, I keep seeing this guy popping up in kickass pics. He seems to climb 5.13 on a regular basis.
Wow thats a wide crack. Looks like fun.
Crazy stuff man
The pic is nice, but the caption makes absolutely no sense.
slab is fun, awesome pic
thats funny as hell
probably the person who posted it
is that basalt? the rock looks exactly like the black cliffs here in boise idaho
The lighting in this pic is incredible.
the background might be out of focus if he was using a zoom lense. nice pic
Its really hard to get that blur shot without photoshopping but I still think the pic is awesome.
Homemade camera filters, hell yes!
Nice, the Black Cliffs rock.
The hand is a bit overexposed, other than that its awesome.
5+ pads?? nice
that sure is purty
Nice way to hold up the extra rope. Put that foot to use.
a butt shot, but still a good pic. nice
Amazing picture. The short depth of field, the glowing hair...awesome.
Another amazing picture. The next RC.com photo prodigy??
Do you wear any sort of leash or harness or anything when you do that stuff at that height??
macros are cool
thats one of the craziest things i've ever seen. wonder how much extra they had to pay the priest...probably ought to be careful throwing the bouquet.
disturbing....yet irresistibly funny
is that your house?? i'm so jealous
you're just jealous
Yea the depth of field is pretty sweet, its almost seems borderline macro.... Good action too.
If only we could get the stinkin thing off...
Awesome pic, whats your setup for getting that angle?
ok i cross my eyes and get three images but they blur too much to make anything 3d...argh..
10 bucks says its poisonous...
Getting lost is half the fun!
Thanks for all the comments, and thanks to Dave for letting me steal his camera for this one. I used a 50mm lens so the rock is in focus and the hand would be in better focus but the shutter speed was a bit slow, 1/500 if I remember correctly.
damn i wish i could dive. i can do backflips out of 30 foot trees but i cant dive off the edge of a pool... awesome pic by the way
Nice lighting, and the determination in her eyes makes it that much better.
yea the climber is tought to make out, good compositio though
holy cow, if his chalkbag is indeed pointing straight down then thats an impressive climb
ahhh evenings of debauchery rock... drinking...strip clubs... : )
very nice lighting and focus, the action is very convincing of the effort
wow, that guys got some springs in his legs or something
yea, her pants blend in a bit, but other than that its an awesome shot
the climb or his hair??
nice dyno, and pic of course
yea the light is awesome
warming up on a V7?!? good christ man!
the climb is the whole ordeal (V0) at the blasted wall, if you like quarried sandstone you would like this place.
pullin people out of holes huh??...
ah good old multi pitch storms, they tend to pop up right when your committed to the climb. nice pic
finally, a slacksline shot that doesnt suck
nice, that looks like a ton of fun
reminds of my local crag, basalt kicks ass
I hate that climb lol. Good to see new people posting pics of Boise. Anyone wanna climb with me?? Cause my partner left and now I dont have anyone to take pics or climb with.
Yea its in idaho. Its at the anderson ranch resevoir right by where evans creek dumps into the resevoir. The lake was way higher a couple weeks before when I was first there but had subsequently dropped, which bummed me out since I could no longer do flips off the top.
Is Matt Bouldering-Bumm??
I would have to agree with the_alpine. Its too fake looking for me.
spotters hands are distracting
holy crap look at the contortion on those legs
I think his face is better out of perspective. brings more attention to his hands and the nasty crack they're in
That exposure is sick.
what would you do if you found out?? anyways, thats what happens when you put your photos up for rating. some people over-rate things, up and down. just enjoy the good comments you get and forget about the bad ones. nice DOF by the way.
I'm not exactly sure how high it was where we were jumping off.. I'd guess 25-30ft??
raindance is a great climb, long ass second pitch though
getting to the first bolts is kinda hairy
I dont think the photo is done in black and white, thats jus the color of the rock at the city. good photo though
wow, looks like a sick climb. i'm suprised a pic with someone wearing a helmet made the front page
holy crap, that angle is so low but its so damn smooth amazing!
the spotters hands are distracting, but other than that i really like this pic
haha i knew i recognized that face
kinda cool, i like the depth of field, but the area thats in focus is covered by the upper overhang, still i like it
yea, if the routes werent so darn hard I would climb more on the shady side of the river, maybe next year..
that one hurts
good pic, almost have to bring a broom to dust the top off
