Nice. Guy needs to practice "soft face', though.

Looks fun. Kinda slabby though.

Nice. This route packs a lot of action into a small package. Exciting start, and if this is your limit, keep moving once it starts getting steep.

View this Photo
Looks like a great cliff.

View this Photo
Nice. The background is a bit busy which detracts from the excellent position and lighting on the climber.

View this Photo
2 out of 5 stars I think its ok, but I can't believe that people are rating it so high! It's a nice enough angle and the light is ok if a bit flat, but the gimmicky flag move screams "No Fear!". Goofy.

Can I get a spot over here???

3 out of 5 stars Dig it! His hair is "just so".

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars This isn't a fantastic shot technically--the background is bit busy for my taste, maybe could've zoomed up on the climber some, but it captures something essential about climbing. Maybe its the concentration both of the climber, and belayer. So hey, nice job...

View this Photo
This looks like an interesting shot--something about the composition is cool, but its so small, too much detail is lost. Got a larger version?

View this Photo
Rough, its all the bright colors. I bet you still play with a Lite Bright, eh? Just kidding. Fun looking route, nice pic.

Whoa! Isn't that Saddam Hussein's old hideout??

3 out of 5 stars Looks like a nice route. Good perspective from a tough angle to take photos. Nice job.

4 out of 5 stars Beauty such as this makes me weep. It reminds me that life is a beautiful thing. At least until a hungry predator comes along and swallows you whole. Here's an 8 for your resume.

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars I think her concentration is faltering. Just kidding, nice intensity of gaze, and color too.

View this Photo
3 out of 5 stars I agree climbsomthing. It's almost a cliche, these silhouette shots. But it has good timing and excitment factor what with the solo climber.

Ahh, you're bringing back fond memories of warm French limestone, red wine, and a tortuous uphill trudge! La Cascade is fantastic.

3 out of 5 stars Interesting rock. Better if the climber was wearing red.

4 out of 5 stars Exciting. Cool shirt, too.

Whoa! Headless climber!

Sorry, he's disqualified. Knee bars and other jessery invalidate an ascent.

4 out of 5 stars Hey, I like this pic!

View this Photo
I tried that once. It turned into: A pad, a some chalk, a boulder, some tape, a camera, a truck, a dog, a partner, some energy bars, some water, a pullover, a brush, some beer, suddenly it wasn't so simple. Oh, nice pic though.

4 out of 5 stars Nice looking boulders! When are you going to give the LeatherNun and I a tour of that place??

View this Photo
Nice! I can't wait to get spanked there.

View this Photo
I'm pretty sure thats it. It's a pretty recognizable climb, right at the main touristy sector where everyone goes to gape over the edge...the belay is done by simply wrapping the rope around the railing once or twice.

View this Photo
5 out of 5 stars That's not a hand, that's a damned hobbit foot!

View this Photo
Great. Now when I go do my fave handcracks, some freaks smelly footgrease is gonna be in there? That's just foul.

View this Photo
Foothooking? I think you need to visit Amsterdam's Red Light sector for that...

View this Photo
Whoa, did your head fall off? Jesus that's disturbing...the headless falling climber!

View this Photo
Because he's your former lover? Your wife's former lover? You're supposed to be belaying him at the same time? Because you were scared he'd fall with the rope behind his leg and you were trying to decide whether to take the picture or warn him??

View this Photo
Hey, comraderie sounds great. We don't have that here, but being leader of a cult has its rewards too. Anyway, sounds like comraderie involves the @ss a little too much. I'll stick with my worshipers. And pads are for old ladies and weak boulderers!

View this Photo
Well, if it is no the mirror it wouldn't get to the film--the mirror flips up to let the light in. So my guess might be there is a warp on the backplane surface that the film is resting against?

Looks like a nice area--and bridge!

Sorry dudes, did that back in 85. We called it "Steve Zich's Armpit" and rated it B1.

5 out of 5 stars I love Rifle so here's an honorary 10. I can practically feel the slickness of those polished blocks and smell the fetid armpits of the dirtpile dirtbags. Mmm.

5 out of 5 stars The guano isn't slippery, but it does taste like s**t. As for age, well, you can't see my mantits in this shot so I do look young.

5 out of 5 stars I'm about to do the crux. The anchors are another 30' up. Nice long pitch, almost 30 meters. It's not run out, but I think foreshortening is causing the bolts to appear a bit closer together than they really are.

5 out of 5 stars Oh hell yah I'm using the knee. Yvon Chouinard told me once if you aren't using your knees you aren't trying hard enough. So I studied under Chris Knuth and learned the secrets of the knee masters.

5 out of 5 stars It is an exciting clip, done from a jug just inside the top frame of the pic. The LeatherNun wasn't fazed of course.

View this Photo
1 out of 5 stars Sorry, I can't get with the high ratings. Bad light, nothing particularly sharp, the sole redeeming quality is the story it tells, which isn't that thrilling: "Man in tent sees mountain".

I guess its just me though.

5 out of 5 stars Well that's drama! Again with the centeredness but this pic tells a great story!

View this Photo
4 out of 5 stars Nice texture, almost a very good shot, but could use a bit more contrast to bring out the dark mysterious right edge, climbing is centered a little too much in the, um, center.

5 out of 5 stars If that was my nose I'd photoshop the hairs out. Maybe give myself a nosejob, too. But then I'm vain like that. Interesting shot though. Here's a 10 for amusements sake.

View this Photo
I too, always like to belittle other climbers, post useless comments about 35 foot sport climbs, because it makes me feel more important, and I have a frantic need to impress other climbers, even though my ploy is obvious, you never know when some unsuspecting noob might not realize how elite I am.

Shut up kalcario, you miserable hack.

View this Photo
2 out of 5 stars Yes, bvb, its a joke. You must have come late to the party to have just figured that out. I gave it a five. That's 4 for interesting texture, 1 for color, and -5 for boring ass half blurry movement of an average looking putz in jeans and an out of fashion belt, all warmed up over a distracting foreground. Now suck it up and go do what any self-respecting rc.com hack would do and go downrate one of my pics.

tadam2000, yes I have some shots of her climbing the rest of the route. 5 out of 5 stars Fascinating, this from the Area Description:

"Being the only real climbing area within sixty kilometres of Brisbane it is extremely popular with beginners and experts as a training area for the bigger crags. There are over 150 distinct climbs put up on this cliff over the last forty years. Being a quarry, the cliffs are quite loose in places but the Brisbane City Council has endeavoured to remove the choss with some success making the easier climbs safer. Because of this the climbs lack the visual appeal of a natural cliff but most offer excellent climbing especially in the harder and less travelled grades. Concrete bollards are situated along the top giving easy points for top-ropes and abseils. "
