4 out of 5 stars I love the lighting. To me, it gives the photo some character and depth. Perfectly lit scenes are not always best, and can even be a bit boring sometimes.

4 out of 5 stars Killer shot, as usual. The route is a slightly overhanging, arching finger crack. Great angle to capture it from, no doubt.

I am also always amazed at what really good glass (and the skill to fully utilize it) can do for a photo. Great work!

S.T.D. = Sandy, Tina, Dana - the FA team. Since the next route over is "tweaked unit" and the one past that is Aural Pleasure, it seemed to be a good name.

Thanks much! The shadow is natural (you can see a little detail there still) but I did up the contrast to make it stronger.

Thanks much - was good to see you all the other day for sure! And soul ram is a great route - one of my top five in the red for sure. You try out on a limb yet? Heard it is kinda the same, just harder...

4 out of 5 stars This is pretty close to right out of the camera - little bit of contrast and saturation, mostly the blues. Used a single off camera speedlight + one on camera. No reflectors though. To light her and the problem up, but still keep the sky and the rest of the boulder exposed well, the lighting is necessary for sure, as it was kinda toward the middle of the day and sunny.

Plus - it is a great problem for sure - love the Nats!

4 out of 5 stars Thanks much. Had to go back to exif (usually leave it attached), this is with 1d markIII.

4 out of 5 stars Petsfed, it is hard to light! Wish I had at least one more speedlight so I could light of the top of the problem. Next time for sure.

PS, I somehow clicked on a vote for this, but didn't mean to, and can't find a way to remove my vote....

Thanks much for the votes and comments!

Rock_fencer, was off a line on the anchors, kinda hanging off the roof part, and using a pretty wide angle lens.

PS, the cam is pretty good, best pro there is right there. Get some better stuff as soon as you stand up.
