Stroud Peak (after the retreat)

The obligatory auto-timer shot: Kyle (left) and myself, having just failed on a new major variation to Stroud's NW Face, Left. The would-be route started up the sunlit buttress between the mountain's Sphinx-like paws, then steps up to a huge (but concealed) left-facing corner which awaits a bolder party, or another season.
