On the summit of the Crestone Needle (view)

The day this picture was taken was a close call for my partner and I. We got caught in the dark on a new moon night without headlamps descending down steep terrain with drop offs and water falls around us. Search and rescuse came and saved us around 2 or 3 am in light sleet and hail below freezing tempertures at 13,000 ft. I still would like to write more up about this incident later. Thats why I never leave with out my headlamp now and caution everyone to bring light on big stuff.
