This is page 11 of my presentation.

Here is what Tomaz Humar's detractors said to him when he arrived in Yosemite:

"You'll fly in the first pitch, man! Take a plane and go home!" These were the first words of 'encouragement' I heard from the local climbers when I sought some information, anything really, about the infamous route called the Reticent Wall. Apparently they thought I wasn't all there; my first time in the valley and I want to solo the toughest route."

That's a pretty amazing thing to say to someone with Humar's experience. Remember, this is the guy who survived the 2500m West Face of Nuptse, an ascent where his partner, Janez "Johan" Jeglic perished, presumably blown off the summit by high winds. Click the link above, and read about Humar's descent where he blew up his tent and almost got killed by avalanche.

Yeah, like I think he can climb, eh?

It has been a long-standing maxim of Dr. Piton that "if you are bitchin', then you will have detractors." Note that the converse is not true. Just because you have detractors does not necessarily mean you are bitchin' - you could just be a jerk!

I would encourage you to please click here to visit Tomaz Humar's website and to read about Humar's fifteen day solo ascent of Reticent Wall. This is where you will find some amusing quotes from his detractors.

Fortunately for Tomaz, he happened to meet a Wall Doctor at the base of Reticent Wall who was willing to help him. Please click here to continue reading the story.

If you are bored, then here is another photo of men with gourds on their penises.
