High on the Frendo Spur (view)
This beautiful wishbone shaped snow arete is located high on the Frendo Spur route on the Aiguille du Midi. The arete, while technically easy, is very long and connects the difficult mixed climbing low on the face to the steep ice just below the summit ridge. We bypassed the Tour Rouge rock variation due to the previous days heavy snowfall.
