Avalanche Peak, a Panoramic Perspective

Avalanche Peak, a Panoramic Perspective (view)

This panoramic shot was taken at the summit of Avalanche Peak (also known as Powerline Pass Peak) at 5,050ft. The ever popular Flattop Mountain skirts the right edge of the photo. Moving down the ridge you can see Ptarmigan Peak, the Suicide Peaks and Homicide Peak. The middle of the photo is graced by Indianhouse Mtn, the Turnagain Arm, and Bird Ridge. This leads to the left side of the picture which looks North/Northeasterly toward the giants that dominate the beginning of the South Fork of Eagle River and beyond. The photo, which is actually several photos pieced together, was taken by Joe Rozak on June 18th, 2004 on his summit of Avalanche with Paul Koecher.
