high on the DC traderoute, my brother takes a breather while adam takes a leak. behind him is a solo guy who will ask us to rope him in for the sketchy crevasses ahead. we do. notice how there is no one else in the photo? we'd all been climbing in the cascades for two weeks before this, and our lungs and legs were pretty solid. we left the muir hut behind countless parties and passed every one we saw by the time this picture was taken. had a nap in the crater. then got offroute onto the emmons glacier route on the way down;)
