I want those at home, plz (view)
The rock formations in joshua tree are just too irresistable. I want some of those at home, closer than 24 hours drive please. Eventhough it is a very nice day in springbreak, and every possible camping spot is full, the outback just around the corner of hidden valley campground is empty, except echoes from the past, i should say.
Resting on sunbaked smooth surface of a boulder, i had to take this picture.
Can you spot the climber?
Technotes: Eos5, 100-300 at 100mm, handheld, tmax-400 b&w film, 5 images stiched in PS. Before anybody comments on my choice of 100mm, and that i could have used 1 (or 2) wide angle images, let me remind you about iso-400 film grain. Although I do enjoy film grain, i did not wanted any in this image, since i want to capture the smooth and blobby appearence of the joshuatree rocks. Unlike this one i might say, where I tried to take advantage of the film grain to emphasize the structure of the rocks.
