Average Rating = 0.00/5 A sign just west of the END-OF-THE-ROPE Crag

This sign is just west (heading uphill from the left-most end) of the END-OF-THE-ROPE Crag. It points the way to PIGEON STOOL WALL, DIAGONAL WALL and CHIMNEY BRICK WALL. It's literally spitting distance from the route GREEN VELVET.

That's Liz, heading up the 5.7 route. This is a great route to do a first lead. The holds are good, bolts are solid, there's a huge ledge at the anchors.

High in the lichen-covered wall near the top of Satisfy My Soul

Average Rating = 0.00/5 High in the lichen-covered wall near the top of Satisfy My Soul

This route starts just to the left of the left edge of The Cirque. The crux is right above the belay bolt, then a lengthy traverse to the left and up the red lichen-covered wall. Topping out required grabbing soil and shrubbery.

Don, on the 2nd pitch of Zig Zag, looking back at his belayer (tied-in next to me). You can also see the right end of the overhang one must negotiate when doing Undercover.

Snag Buttress Anchors

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Snag Buttress Anchors

Don & I at the anchors that serve Zig Zag, Under Cover, Where Eagles Dare, and probably a few other routes. Bring a 60m rope to reach the anchors at the top of the first pitch. And TIE A KNOT!!! Lake Erie is in the background.

The notorious Turtle Arete is just around the corner to the right. Start right belay a belay bolt. Have your belayer use it! Ground slopes off to ledge, and crux is just above where you see me climbing.

Dusk at Powerline Wall

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Dusk at Powerline Wall

I took this picture on one of the last nights I was on Erie this past summer. I sat for hours on end this summer just looking at the islands. It never gets old. A part of me will live in Anacortes forever. That place is incredible. To all those that live there... dont ever take that breathtaking mosaic for granted. About the picture... sorry about the white parts, I am still honing my panoramic skills. Please enjoy the picture anyway and go see it in real life if ever you are in the Seattle area.
