San Juan Explorers

Average Rating = 0.00/5 San Juan Explorers

Here we took the kayak out with my son Tony. My cousin, Paul, who took all the photos, and I paddled him around the small cove where the beach house was. Tony seemed to like it a lot, although he got a little wet! Overall, it was probably the greatest vacation we've had, and a great time had by all. Photos by Paul Alley Photography.

San Juan Traverse

Average Rating = 0.00/5 San Juan Traverse

On a recent trip to San Juan island, I took some time out to try some bouldering along the shoreline. The route was more a traverse than a send, and I ended up going sideway for quite a distance. The weather and scenery were beautiful, and I can't wait to go back. Photos by Paul Alley Photography.

San Juan Climb

Average Rating = 0.00/5 San Juan Climb

This is my favorite shot of this area. It shows the beach we used for kayaking and the edge I traversed. The bouldering wasn't too much of a challenge, it wasn't really steep, but the rock was very sharp, and cut up my hands, shoes, and my shins when I slipped. Photos by Paul Alley Photography.

San Juan Climbing Kid

Average Rating = 4.00/5 San Juan Climbing Kid

Here's a photo of my son, Tony, climbing the rocks in San Juan. He wanted to be a rock climber, just like his daddy. One thing's for sure, he's got a wicked crimping grip. Tony's 5 yrs old, and is a bundle of energy. It was a good thing he worked off some of that energy climbing! Photos by Paul Alley Photography.

Here's Guy Smiley, Tony, striking a pose in San Juan Island. That's me chalking up in the back ground, and Tony say mw and said he wanted to be a rock climber, just like his daddy. Gotta start 'em young! Photos by Paul Alley Photography.

Life's a beach.

Average Rating = 3.14/5 Life's a beach.

San Juan Island is an awesome place, but lacks one huge thing: climbable rock. Nevertheless, I managed to find a few spots here and there where the rock didn't crumble in your hand.
