I redpointed this route for the first time in the dead of winter with snow on it and i would have to say it is way more fun when its warmer.

First Climb of the day

Average Rating = 0.00/5 First Climb of the day

Very Fun Sport Lead climb. A few pieces of bad rock but take care and all is good. This area catches a lot of sun and is enjoyable because it is a little ways of the road and has less noise than a lot of other climbs in this area.

The climbing isn't much, but the reward after the send is great. Shasta watches the Turnagain Arm from high above the Seward Highway.

crappy rock

This was somewhere between anchorage and the kenai. This was not very fun due to the rock condition. It was very loose and kept coming off in my hands.

This anchor should hold

Average Rating = 3.00/5 This anchor should hold

Since my climbing partner Dane here was about 70-80lbs lighter than me we decided he needed to anchor down. After looking for an anchor spot for a while this is what we came up with. Worked like a charm!
