Bryant McDonnell sends this beast of a route in So. Illinois, Shorty the Pimp. He projected the route for several months before getting the send with pinpoint accuracy.

It is a fun route! pumpy at the top with really fun final moves, it's always great when the crux comes at the final bolts!

Leading up fine nine- one of the more delicate routes in Jackson Falls b/c of the start and feet, but not necessarily that difficult. Fun!

Here I am warming up on one of Jackson's classic climbs "Cheerio Bowl". A great arete climb with a pocketed start and ledge rests later on.

first 5.10c ever attempted... i made it up... eventually.

does anyone know the actual rating of this variation? I'm told it's .11a but i honestly don't know. for the variation to count, do you continue this line on the outside of the arete? or do you crossover after the 2nd bolt onto the slab?

i'm on TR.. but figured I'd practice leading something that is a whole number grade out of my comfort zone... big surprise.. it was uncomfortable! ha ha. fun climb on TR though.. loved it.

This was my first lead climb! Beautiful day on the 2nd of july. Had the place to ourselves practically.

This was a tough shot to get... in hindsight... i wish i'd have had somone bouldering out of focus in the background to balance out the photo and give it a unique charachter. But alas... it's just a neat spider web photo.

Wow, this route was so fun, too bad I was belaying for about 2 hours in 50 degree weather before my onsight attempt! It was so much fun to attempt to onsight, the route is nearly 45 degrees if not steeper.
