Stitched panorama of the Prairie Wall in Blue Mounds Minnesota. Good climbing, not a lot of people.

This is a picture my mom took of me on Jasper's Dihedral over the 4th of July weekend. Seemed a little soft for a 5.8 but the tricky finish is very cool for any climb.

Nice big hand/fist crack running up Kanaranzi. The local book says that you need a standard rack. I need to find out what there def. of that is. I only used three stoppers (#8 and smaller) and the rest was big stuff. you can leave the big stoppers on the ground. I think the section after the zig to the left is the crux.

This is me takin a break in the squeeze section of crazy crack. Books rated at 5.7, I'ld agree. But the "standard rack" beta I would not. I used only three nuts during the climb and one to set up a top rope. Leave the big nuts on the ground. The biggest that I used was a #8 BD stopper and the smallest was a #4. The rest of the climb is big hands too fist all the way up. Bring the hexes and tricams for this one. I would not suggest using anything that is spring loaded except for an occasional big bro if you got 'em. The quartzite is just too dense for them to work properly and I've heard of people zipping their whole line out by using SLCD's in this area.

This is a picture of me climbing at Blue Mounds S. P. Scott H. is belaying me. I am unsure about the route name and rating. I'm not even sure if it's in the Prairie Walls area.

Not sure of the name, but it's a 5.7. Haven't climbing in over 2 years and this was my first of many returns.

Just climbing along. Hard Quartzite, so most of the routes are toprop only.

Heather enjoying the last few inches of a sweet chimney, located to the North of Jasper, in the Prairie Walls section. An easy, but very fun climb.

This is Jake (connors) easing up a high, slabby boulder near the Quarry. I wish I would have remembered to move my shoes before taking this pic.

This is Jake (connors) on a slightly overhaning boulder near the Quarry. Two problems come in from either side and end at the pointy top of this face. There's plenty of harder eliminates to be done.

A fun boulder with a couple of obvious lines and many harder eliminates. Jake (connors) doing the right sided start.

I'm not sure if I've got the right section listed here. Don't get a lot of chances to climb at BM so I'm not too familiar with the locations of routes and such.

Lee juggling on the slackline at our annual Blue Mounds gathering. Unfortunately, no time for a tripod, but still pretty cool none-the-less.

This is the first rappell I ever did. Thanks to Gmony for capturing the moment. The fear of god is flowing thru me and my white knuckles. That first moment of leaning back...chills!
