I took this photo while scouting Resolution Arête on the Aeolian Wall (the proper name of the NE face).

Joanne and I carried a small pack that felt heavier as the pitches flew by. This one marked the half way point on the route. It's a long and stellar fingers to hands crack. Resolution Arete's start is visible in the L hand portion of photo; the huge pine leans away from the red wall. Beautiful rock and stunning line. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 051405.

Heading up pitch 5 with 12 more pitches to go. I just fell a couple times on the previous pitch and was glad to watch her motor on. The top of pitch 9 by the pine tree, is visible. The wall is steep and remains so til the last pitch. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 051405.

Unk climber seen just below the notch on @ pitch 6 of Resolution Arete. Climber is heading for Aeolian wall. I was on Woman of Mtn Dreams looking southeast. We heard em once in a while. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 051405.

Here's the famous 5.11+ roof on Resolution- Larry's just beginning the aid sequence. Just past the lip, it moves back to 5.9 or so....

Here's Paul, from the party behind us, leading up through the Tricky Hand Traverse. I think he and Brett got into a fist fight over who got this lead...makes you wonder about the quality of the belay....

Here's a view of Larry on the traverse from the chimney above. He's more or less at the toughest part, but the entire thing overhangs, so its fairly sustained the whole time you're on it...
