Joanne on Woman Mtn Dreams' ninth pitch

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Joanne on Woman Mtn Dreams' ninth pitch

Joanne and I carried a small pack that felt heavier as the pitches flew by. This one marked the half way point on the route. It's a long and stellar fingers to hands crack. Resolution Arete's start is visible in the L hand portion of photo; the huge pine leans away from the red wall. Beautiful rock and stunning line. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 051405.

Joanne U, the woman of mountain dreams herself!

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Joanne U, the woman of mountain dreams herself!

Heading up pitch 5 with 12 more pitches to go. I just fell a couple times on the previous pitch and was glad to watch her motor on. The top of pitch 9 by the pine tree, is visible. The wall is steep and remains so til the last pitch. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 051405.

Here's the famous 5.11+ roof on Resolution- Larry's just beginning the aid sequence. Just past the lip, it moves back to 5.9 or so....

Paul leading the Tricky Hand Traverse

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Paul leading the Tricky Hand Traverse

Here's Paul, from the party behind us, leading up through the Tricky Hand Traverse. I think he and Brett got into a fist fight over who got this lead...makes you wonder about the quality of the belay....

Larry on the Tricky Hand Traverse

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Larry on the Tricky Hand Traverse

Here's a view of Larry on the traverse from the chimney above. He's more or less at the toughest part, but the entire thing overhangs, so its fairly sustained the whole time you're on it...

Average Rating = 3.00/5 View from Sherwood Forest

The view from the Sherwood Forest "ledge" on Mt. Wilson as we make our way to the final section of Dogma. I'd like to build my winter cabin up here. =)

Inti Watana to Resolution Arete

Average Rating = 4.00/5 Inti Watana to Resolution Arete

Leading one of the pitches (right off the belay) of Inti Watana. We finished this route with the top of Resolution Arete, and descended into First Creek Canyon. This made for a pretty long day, with ~2 hours of (up to) 4th class approach and somewhere around 10 hours of climbing. The actual climbing was ~2500 feet, about 13 belayed pitches, a couple of pitches basically moving the belay to a new ledge system, and then another ~100 meters of easy simu-climbing. The descent was not obvious or well marked, and we did most of it in the dark, with lots of back-tracking from cliff edges, boulder hopping, and bush-whacking.
