Good times in Red Rocks

Vegastradguy and I figured we'd get on something we could fall off of at the end of a chill day clip'n bolts at Panty Wall. Totally Clips 11a (um, only climb on wall with out a panty reference) feels like Waimea but less positive.

A good belayer always keeps and eye on their climber.

I'm rapping down after leading a route on Panty Wall. Fantastic weather and great friction made for a great climbing day.

This was my first time climbing outdoors and this was the last climb of the day. My guide Jason, from AAI, continued to push me to try harder routes and gave me the inspiration to finish all the routes I started. This was a great first climb outside! Now I am off to Red River Gorge for the next climb!

Here's Mark and Steve at the top of the Panty Wall setting up anchors. Mark did a sport climb and Steve traded it.

Climbed at RRR 2005, Shere Khan, otherwise known as A Fraction of the Action 10a. Whatever it's called, it was stellar!

Dogwall... The climber was either Wes or Tim from the Gunks. We climbed the same wall with them and this is the picture on the way out. A side note, Wes traded us a t-shirt for a bottle of wine. Good times.

In preparation for climbing Resolution Arete, which involves an A1 roof, my partner and I went down to the Oasis to practice aiding on steep, overhung faces. I took this photo of him just after he had finished cleaning and jugging the route.

I was waiting for my turn on the next route and realized how beautiful the canyon was. This is taken from the base of Ultraman Wall

My boyfriend's father sent a 5.8 - it was the first time he had climbed, EVER!! He is 62 years old, wore bluejeans and borrowed climbing shoes... I am very impressed! Let's hear it for him!!

The crux proved to be rather challenging for him but he kept pushing till his fingertips were sore.
