Just another sunny beautiful day in Red Rocks. Mecca contains good short routes to learn placement.

Lj is one of the neighborhood kids that my kids play with and has lived in Las Vegas for 5 years and had never been to Red Rocks. He had never been climbing either, and he loved it as well as did his sister. We were begged to bring them along again when we go out again.

Unfortunately he forgot his shoes and has out grown his climbing shoes. Dad is the process of ordering him a new pair of Sportiva - Fuegos.

My wife insisted on bring her fog dog (shitsu) out to the crag. The funny thing was that she'd just given him a bath and by the time we were tired of bouldering, his fur was no longer white but stained shades of red.
Hey I have to admit he loved being out with the family.
He's still a fog dog though

Lots of fun as a warm up in retrospect. A little scary at the time, at least it was for me on this day. Funny how life can be allot like leading a chimney climb now and again, tight spots, back against a wall and so on... photo by Jeff C.
