Caney on Mt. Adams, Presidentials, NHDoesn't get better then this for man or dog. Caney is no stranger to the Northern Presidentials in any season. This shot is taken on the class 2 talus field just below the summit in early May 2005.

Waterfall fed pool on route to Imps HeadThis is a picture of one of the many pools that form along the trail up Imps Head in Franconia, NH. The hike up is pretty easy, less then 3 hours and gives great views of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range. Nicely forested area... I like trees...

Near the summit of Mt. Madison, NHOn my way down from the summit I turned to get a quick photo of my pals following behind. This was one hellish climb. Not because of technical difficulty, but due to the fact that I had spent the previous week on a road trip around the great lakes, with strep throat and a 105 fever. I had no intention of letting that keep me from a climb with my buddies though. The wind was fierce on the summit cone and I was bootlegging it down as it was blowing right through my woolen knickers. After making this exposure, I tucked the camera in my jacket pocket, and with ice axe in one hand and the other covering the jewels, I hobbled down the rocks and ice screaming, "Oh please, oh please, frostbite anywhere but there!!!"

Day hike with HomerThere are always plenty of things to do in the White Mts. no matter what you can always enjoy beautifull views and good people. This was Homer begging from some hikers we met on the summit of a well known peak.
