Another shot of Diab cranking at Hidden Wall - Crowders Mtn. NC
I love the colors of this rock. Not an "action shot" but looks cool none the less.

Went on a family trip to Crowders. Climbed for an hour or so at practice wall after giving up hope on finding aspecific route on redwall.

Here is Dalton on the first part of Caterpillar, at Crowders Mountain NC, on David's Castle Wall. This is his first attempt at this kind of chimney, and he likes his accomplishments to be real, so even though it's possible at Crowders he didn't go for any kind of top-rope rehearsal. He racked-up and gave it a try.

this picture was taken after the many attempts to walk the gap. I didn't get the line tight enough to walk all the way though I did came close. unfortunately, all those attempts were videos.

That has to be the longest I can reach. The hand-foot match there is alot of fun, even if it is a bit reachy for me.

|
This is a very rare photo. You dont see much tope rope and Phil Hoffman pics now a days.

This is a shot from a climb on Crowders mountain. Its called the fortress. Its a pretty easy climb from what you can see in the shot.

this is a picture of me on top that direct. the crux is near the bottom. watch out for loose holds

Some really nice holds for an overhang. A bit pumpy after the hand-foot match to get the heal hook. All in all, great climb!
|
|
the crux is the hardest part and still relatively easy. warm up climb if you're actively climbing.

This is me leading a 5.9 on the Red Wall on Crowder's Mt. I'm not sure of the name, because i didn't havea guide book to show me which one it was. The weather was perfect that day and I had a blast.

Here I am attempting the gnarly 10b roof on Eye Sockets. Don't knock the top-rope, this would result in a heinous fall, and has a powerful roof crux.

Eye sockets is a tough route. You have to climb the face aiming for a bolt inside two large huecos in the roof. Crank over the lip and climb the face to the ledge.
