Me on Pentagon V7 at Coopers. Problem starts on a good edge under the small roof and climbs up through some bad slopers..very friction dependent. Sooo close..maybe next time.

Here's a picture my mom took. It was a pretty difficult route to find but not very difficult to climb.

Mountainman enjoys following up another great unknown, Coopers Rock, classic trad climb. Located near the end of rock city and down over the hillside towards the river. This block has about 5 quality trad climbs on it.

We found this boulder down the hill and to the right on the blue blazed trail not too far from the Tomb Raiders block area. high quality, although short, problem with a good top out. Another photo suggests this is "whales belly", can anyone confirm the name or offer a grade... photo by novclimbs

This was the same weekend trip to verify grades and have some fun. Maggie redpointed this route as well. Just FYI the route started on the wall facing the camera...Maggie is on the last few moves.

I'll admit it was a redpoint...FA of this route. The pic was taken by Mark Goerlich from the top of the route. This was a few moves from the end.

A climber enjoying the beautiful November sun on Moby's Dick (V3) at Tilted Tree. I've always talked crap on this problem, but then I started doing it and realized how cool it is! Maybe I'm just becoming more of a bouldered and less of a sport climber. Lens is Nikon 50mm F1.4 (shooting at F2), Filter is 81a, camera is Nikon D70. Photo by Bill Bauer

We were just wandering around looking for boulders, so I don't know what area this was in, or what route it was. The problem was super easy, V0 probably, on these really cool pod-ish formations. It was really moist that day, lots of fog in the background. The Coopers Rock rock is great, though. Lots of friction, even on such a moist day.

Really fun roof problem near tom raider area at what I think is called the ship's prow. Does anyone know what the name or rating of this problem is? Problem starts matched where the left hand is in the first of the sequence. Thanks.

Tim starting his project roof at Cooper's Rock. This problem will probably settle in around V7 or V8. Bad holds seperated by big reaches....quite awesome watching Tim climbing it. Cooper's Rock, WV

A climber on a super highball, the Four Ton Mantis (V3/4?) at Cooper's Rock. The crux is at the 15 foot mark with another hard move at the 25 foot mark. Did I mention that it's slab?

The SR crew met Dan Brayack for a photo shoot and problem grading day at Coopers Rock, WV. Dan is compliling data for an upcoming Bouldering guide. Vic shows the powerful bicycle feet to campus throw up to the slopey top out on a hard roof problem. Often overlooked, the picnic table boulder has some stellar problems.
