I told myself to smile on this one, it was not the best of days.

A strong winter storm forced a bivy before summiting in November.

Lake Arrowhead in the morning. Of the Gorge lakes beneath Mount Ida. The only truly secluded part of RMNP. No trail leads there. It's backpacking at 12,000 feet over the continental divide to reack the gorge. Or 12 miles through forest canyon.
