Looking back towards Spicers Peak. The curios foiage in the foreground are what are known as blackboys or xanthorrhea or grasstrees. They shoot up a huge long flower spike, that coupled with their black trunks and grass skirts for leaves reminded the early settlers of aborigines standing with their spears hence the name blackboys.

Peering over the edge at the spear lillies and the steep drop. We encountered a knife edge ridge here with the sides dropping sheer away on both sides of the ridge.
