We brought way too much gear for this route, but luckily I was able to con Kelsey ( prezwoodz) into carrying it all on lead (heh heh heh). Here's one of the infamous near-full-pitch runouts on Snake Dike, and yes, that bolt is his only pro for this pitch.

Amanda sits and contemplates weighty things atop Clouds Rest, the highest granite peak in Yosemite. She seems to be mimicing Half Dome's posture.

My first trip to the Valley. Had to take the requisite shots of El Cap, Half Dome, and te falls. Can't wait to get up on this and the other walls. I'm guessing they are what, 5.6 o 5.7 three pitch climbs? No problem!

We climbed up Snake Dike on Half Dome and how could you summit Half Dome without taking the obligatory hanging over 2000 feet of air shot? Gotta love Yosemite. Except the mass of Memorial Day Tourons. Could do without that!

This is a photo of one of the upper pitches of Snake Dike (Pitch 5 I think). Notice that I haven't reached the first and only bolt of that pitch....

Brooke and I on the diving board. Brooke is 10 on this trip to the valley and climbing pretty well. Sometimes gummy bears and candy have to be placed on routes to encourage primal little girl brain.

Sometimes it's the simple stuff that makes you happy. This was taken in a meadow on a crisp November morning, after a frost hit the Valley the night before.

The sky was a brilliant shade of purple, and the moment was just right to take this photo of Half Dome with the moon rising in the night.
