Don't look down!If heights aren't your thing I suppose climbing isn't either. This is fletcher and me, or myshoes more like, on our way up a route in Rock Creek. Love the greenery contrasted with the clean grey granite of the Eastern Sierras. I live for the Sierra's!!

Melinda works up Whiz Bang, 11a at 10,500'I think the thinner air was a factor. We both had fun on this one, we liked the easy approach pitch. The moves on this pitch were very tough at this altitude, especially living at 1200'. The temps were awesome and so was the rock. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 082505.

The Guidebooks are wrong!Rowell's Arete on the left and Central route on the right (in blue) are depicted in High Sierra Classics (Fiddler/Moynier)and Peaks, Trails, and Passes (Secor) inaccurately. I climbed both routes in blue and they do not match Rowell's description. Actual routes in red.

Rock Creek SequenceThis is the main crack to the right of the 5.10a/5.10b bolted climbs in the Main Attraction Area. Josh was definitely looking strong on this route though he didn't get it clean this day. I couldn't figure out which shot to use, so I finally pieced together the whole sequence. In any event I like the way it came out.

Approaching Bear Creek SpireThis is Rich approaching the N. Ridge of Bear Creek Spire, an easy approach by Sierra standards. The N. Ridge is the obvious line of sun/shade in the middle of the photo.

Lenticular Cloud over MachupuchareI took this photo of a lenticular Cloud over Machupuchare in 1986 on my first Nepal trek. Climbing on this peak is not allowed as it is sacred to the locals. It's also known as "fishtail peak.'
