Awesome highball, fun in bare feetI took this picture of my friend Kirk. The route had a lot of great variations and we used it as "the warm-up boulder."

One legged man boulderingBeautiful rock, and a solid problem to work on. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, let it be on the beach so you don't even need a pad.

Shannon crankin' at Lost RocksI belive this problem was a really juggy and cool slanting crack with a reachy top out. To make this last reach Shannon really had to lock it off. At the time this picture was taken you can see the landing was nice fluffy sand, but the last time I went back it was nothing but jagged rocks, bummer.

Kim on the arete.V3? Fun problem and a lot trickier than it looks. Seems like it'd be an obvious heel hook until you're actually on it.

Alex highballing at Lost RocksHere's my girlfriend, whom I often hear calling out to me,"I think that's high enough" on a highball of her own. She overcame a bit of a mental crux though she admitted the climb itself was easy.

Profile picI finally decided to submit a profile pic. Yeah, yeah, it's just a butt shot without the face, but preserving the anonymity makes this site that much more fun!

the fern problemThis is one of the most classic problems at the lost rocks. The Fern Route is a highball problem with no way to go in the end but straight down..theres no climbing over the top. This whole section has an amazing traverse as well..overhanging so its possible even durring the frequent rains here in Humboldt County. The girl..is me.

Gizmo on the warm-up traverseThis is a shot from last year, Memorial Day, when a bunch of us from Corvallis headed down to Lost Rocks for some on-the-beach bouldering.

Another anonymous Lost Rocks climbSeptember 04 bouldering trip to the Northern California coast. Went with Mike and Ryan. Lost Rocks was our favorite. Dozens and dozens of unchartered boulders litter embayment after embayment. This was one of my favorites, an angled arete climb up to the finish. Made ample use of toe and heel hooking. Ryan took the photo and Mike is spotting.

DynoHeres a pick of me working every possible Finish to this dyno. It made it kind of difficult to make these dynamic moves with the beach so high, went for it non the less.
