As our first day in Joshua Tree came to an end, we lingered to admire the rocks in the evening light, so different to their appearance in full sun.

5 days of straight climbing called for a rest day. We ended up bouldering harder than we had climbed the day before!

December '04: Monsoons drench SoCal, causing fatal mudslides and stranding climbers near and far. 3 friends huddle in their tent, drinking and playing cards, waiting for Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun. 3 days later Sun is spotted re-emerging, allowing climbing to commence.

A beautiful winter day in J-Tree searching for problems to make my fingers bleed.

Went for a walk early in the morning, watched the full moon set as the sun rose over J Tree in January.
