Sausage, egg, and cheese burritos in the making, while our first line of the day awaited in the morning sun, right behind our campsite. Good lead, Reno! 29 Oct 2006

Finally! Time to move on.

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Finally! Time to move on.

Setting up the top out. After 15 tries and two visits I finally finished this so called V1. Personally I think it goes much harder. But what do I know.

A little bit of everything

Average Rating = 0.00/5 A little bit of everything

5.8 route at intersection. Starts with a chimney into a hand crack into a large flake system and finaly a true J-Tree face. Good fun.

V1? Whatever!

Average Rating = 0.00/5 V1? Whatever!

Two moves from the top out, which by the way isn't much easier on this 17ft (J-Tree) V1

Walk The Line!?!?!

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Walk The Line!?!?!

First time at J-Tree. This line is easy to spot on TheBlob. Quite an eye opener from the "5.7's" I'm used to....I did get it clean though, took all I had, but I did get it. Can't wait to go see what other gems Joshua has to offer.....

Super fun problem

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Super fun problem

I can't climb v7, but the sections of this route from the beginning to the stout chimeny and then the end were really fun! It was also fun to work the crux. Lots of movement.

Non-Heelhook Attempt on Bearded Cabbage

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Non-Heelhook Attempt on Bearded Cabbage

This was a very bad idea, when you don't have the reach. Right arm felt the pump real quick after letting go with the left to reach at the crack. Immediate hand traverse back to the right onto the rail again, for a heel-toe leg hook upsidedown hang rest. Did all possible to get this thing clean on the first go, but botched it at the end of the half hour struggle. Felt that long anyway. Came down. Went with a slightly different sequence and made good on the redpoint. A very patient belay by Armando. Photo by Steve. 1 Oct 2006

Darcy on Hands Off

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Darcy on Hands Off

I liked this climb a lot more than I thought I would, since I tend to climb far too much with my upper body.

Gotta do the eye ...

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Gotta do the eye ...

Cyclops Rock with the eye visible near the top - everything in J-Tree gives you a false sense of perspective - the eye is about 6 ft wide and 12 ft high. Even though a 5.3 - a must do route for J-Tree.

Average Rating = 0.00/5 chris and I on the gem

my bud AJ and I were on this one then chris turned up but didnt remember the start (yeah right, hes so modest) I showed him then he just floated the problem. I like the way it looks, the shadows form a genie in the bottle effect.
