Dance to the Top

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Dance to the Top

Josh taking his time leading this fun and classic route, so simple a five year old could do it. I'm not kidding David's son went after me.

Lets get friendly

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Lets get friendly

I was a little sketched at first, being my first time on slab. But always worth it in the end.

Nitramanator on Black & Tan

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Nitramanator on Black & Tan

This is the route we call Black & Tan. The route got its name because of the defined seperation of colors by a dark water streak that the route follows up the rock.

Unnamed boulder problem...

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Unnamed boulder problem...

I found this problem while hiking around the area. It is right off the jeep trail on the left hand side. You have to climb up some larger boulder to get to this one but once you are on the correct rock you will know. The sit-start is tricky and once you get out from underneath it, depending on which way you go it is a very doable problem. If I had to guess and trust me I am no expert...I would probably rate it as a V3-V4...

Climbing the Blue Highway

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Climbing the Blue Highway

This fun thin crack route can be found up and right of the Loaf. The obvious dihedral with wide crack is Desert Solitaire.

My first 5.12! Whatever...

Average Rating = 2.50/5 My first 5.12! Whatever...

Nice optical illusion photo. It was completely an accident -- a friend snapped the shot of me leading "Three Dopes on a Rope" (a very easy 5.4) on The Cone. It looks like a pretty wicked climb...and then you notice the angle gear is hanging off my harness;-)

Blow Fly's Last Ride.

Average Rating = 4.00/5 Blow Fly's Last Ride.

Mike leads this fun slabby route at The Loaf. The crux requires delicate movement on small holds.

Fairweather Wall

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Fairweather Wall

The two main crack systems are crumbly, and overhanging thin crack roofs. The far right is much more protectable. All are listed in Phoenix Rock II.

View Northeast from Torrid

Average Rating = 0.00/5 View Northeast from Torrid

This is the View from Torrid Wall to the Fairweather and Roofer Madness Walls. It is a good 20 minute hike through bushes and around the bowl on a Javelina trail or bushwhack down to the main trail and then bushwhack back up.
