Special AiducationI finally finished this practice aid route. It's nothing to brag about, but it does offer a place for the beginning aid climber to go to work out the systems. Total route height is only about 45', but I broke it into two pitches, each anchor with three well-space 3/8" bolts to mimmic a big wall belay. Bring the haul bag and portaledge and figure it all out here. You'll only need rivet hangers for pro, and the top anchor has a chain/rappel ring to get you back to the ground quickly. My rope is hanging from the first belay anchor and the route starts out down and to the left of it (hidden by bush). Second pitch tops out up and right of the rope, at the area in the sun just below the lip of the formation.

Subdivisions are at bay.View of Parking Lot rock from the descent of Morrel's wall. There's not too many houses out there yet. Give it a couple of more years. Climber is on Seven Up. A route starts just left up the leaning boulder. Back to the Wall goes up between the boulder and the wall.

Last bolt on Fearless Leader. As more and more land gets eaten up in Phoenix area, the birds have less habitat. Consequently many areas that used to not have bird sh*t now have signs of the excrement. The last bolt on Fearless Leader is surrounded by a substance other than chalk. Perhaps these areas will be subject to seasonal closure in the future to preserve bird habitat (like Cochise Stronghold, The Summit Crags, and Granite Mountain).
