Climbing Community Service, one of only a few 10's in the Canyon. Great Fun!

Or maybe the fourth. Can't recall, but fun as hell. Finishes with big undercling/fist jam, you decide!

Rob thinks the right way might be better than .12. Who am I to argue, the photo is the sum total of my best effort. Rob sent it using the arete, but the pics were too dark. It's a gutsy off-line move requiring plenty of slack.

Superhero chalking pose on Community Service, a stellar warm-up. I think this wall is sublimely beautiful.

Finding the sequence at the crux of Javalina, which was already kinda stout before somebody broke a hold. Photo by Hillary Davis.

Not exactly sure if I specified the right route (since there's not much of guide to this area). It's a well protected sport climb with a ~50' crimpy wall, finishing on a small overhang after reaching an alcove. Feels low 11ish.

Climber: me, with a grateful onsight.

I shot this from Main Wall, across the canyon, 12/31/2004. I don't know the climbers or the route (Eclipse?), just glad for the opportunity to observe some kick butt climbing and I wanted to post this shot to glean a little more info from any other Southern Arizona climbers. If the fellas in this photo are you or your friends, please let me know!

La Milagrosa Canyon, roughly translated, means the miraculous canyon. I guess that sounds prettier than La Crimp Canyon, but that's what it is... although here, Jay's on some of the bigger holds (ha) on Stealin', 5.11. Photo by Hillary Davis.

Benpullin motors up one of the 10c's at Sahuaro Corners- I forget which one. He, Lynn, and his camera need to road trip to Tucson more often. Photo by Hillary Davis (not on Ben's D70... wah).

Taken at the trailhead to La Milagrosa canyon, on the way out after a day of climbing. Great way to end the year! The photo does no justice to the real thing, but you get the idea anyway...

Unknown climber at La Milagrosa Canyon in Tucson. Beautiful, vertical orange granite. Get ready to crimp! And watch out for that cactus!

Community Service is a nice mix of finger locks in a flaring crack and chunky, deceptively pumpy face holds. Here Alex ( tucsonalex) styles the lower portion. Photo by Hillary Davis, November 2003.

Just a reminder that these little guys are out and around now. This one was cruising along just short of Valentine Arete. Watch those ankle biters!

This cactus is on the trail to the main wall, and poses quite a challenging boulder problem! Spineless climbers need not apply! I have yet to top out... the holds just get sharper and sharper the higher you go...

Photo taken from Saguaro Corners, looking west to Tucson, on a mild October day. Great picture; too bad about the climber (me) ruining it...
