The route shown here ties in with the single day trip report in the Articles Section of the site for the Grand Teton North Face Ascent on 8/20/94. This photo was taken from an earlier ascent of Teewinot.

Half time. Kendra and I did Open Book and as soon as getting back to camp I decided to do Petzl Direct on the Grand with Sam. Slept like a baby after that.

This was such a fun day. I don't think this route requires a rope, just some approach shoes. It's fun esay scrambling with some good moves and good exposure at one spot. This is the view from the tiny pinnacle of a summit toward the Grand Teton

Taking a break and looking off towards the South Teton on the downclimb of the south ridge. I peaked at 10:30 and was back to the trailhead in a few hours, good thing since the weather turned and storms from Idaho moved in.

View of the Middle Teton from the end of the Lupine Meadows trail July 4th, summer of 2006. There was an unusual amount of snow left from winter which made climbing more fun. Crampons and an axe were definately needed, although this route is only a class 3 scramble.

Kelsey ( Prezwoodz) pops over the lip during our onsight up- and down-climb free solo in the rain wearing street shoes of the Owen-Spalding Route up the Grand Teton. It's not nearly as impressive as it sounds, but it's just a whole lot of fun to say!

Given Permission by the subject, who also took this picture on a timer, I'm posting it. It was taken by Russ Keck, and the Subject is Russ Keck, standing in front of the Grand Tetons. Too beatiful of a picture to not be seen online, I think.

Jessica (altaholic) at Jenny Lake staring longingly at the Tetons. Alas, no climbing this trip as I had to be at Devils Tower for work in two days.

I believe this is a baby grizzly. Taken from 15 feet away with a cannon rebel 2000 70-300 mm IS telephoto lens. Dont remember the rest of the details. Thought it was a cool pic from my trip this summer to GTNP
