Bouldering is definately a team sport. Never as much fun without a handful of good friends. Photo by Brian Scoggins (petsfed) Editted by Jason Urasky

Jason working out the moves on White Buffalo (5.13d or V10). This was Kevin’s (spotting) suggestion for a fun problem. None of us made it but we had a lot of fun working on it. Photo by Brian Scoggins (petsfed)

White Buffalo was a project the Kevin wanted to work on while we were in Lander for the Festival. Sadly he did not send it but we all had a lot of fun playing on it. Photo by Brian Scoggins (petsfed)

Kevin on White Buffalo, 5.13d or V10, take your pick. We obviously played on it as a tall boulder problem rather then a roped route. Photo by Brian Scoggins (petsfed)

Earlier this summer I met Jon, a school teacher from Lander. He was kind enough to show us around Wild Iris and give us beta for whatever climb we were wanting to try.

Lisa takes a stab at another typically beautiful Wild Iris route. Slightly overhung and sustained, this route is a must do. With a somewhat bouldery start, this route never really lets up.

..but Jeremy only tried it twice and still managed to finish it with a couple of hangs. He'll send it for sure if he ever gets back there.

We had to drive a load of furniture out west to Montana. Zack wanted to hit Wild Iris---this was in may...
We almost made it up the mountain...till we hit ice. We sat in the truck and watched a snow storm barrell thru. Needless to say we had to abort.

I don't know the name or actual rating of this route because it wasn't in the guide book, but it looked easy so I thought I'd give it a shot. It climbed alright, but was still pretty dirty and crumbly. Fun start.
