Andrew on top of Question Mark Wall

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Andrew on top of Question Mark Wall

The Lone Peak Cirque is as good as it gets. Coiling ropes on top of Pika's Paradise on the Question Mark Wall. It isn't an alpine route if you don't top out, so a long traverse to the summit on the tower on the left awaits.

Mayday V6

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Mayday V6

Overhangs the sometimes busy trail, down river from the main rock. Great problem with a scary landing. A couple of nice plates mixed with sloping edges lead to a very exposed topout that will drop you well past the spotters, and halfway to the Wissahickon. Triple Overhangs

Average Rating = 2.80/5 Triple Overhangs

Mark Michaels, just past the crux of Triple Overhands, 10a, on Lone Peak. Perfect granite, incredible exposure with excellent protection make this one of my top 5 routes ever! If only I had a llama for the approach.... Photographer/belayer: Bob Copenhafer.

The fact that few climbers outside Salt Lake (and many IN Salt Lake) never journey to the cirque astonishes me.....sure the hike's a bitch, but look at your reward! Photo by mark michaels

Sunset in the Cirque

Average Rating = 3.67/5 Sunset in the Cirque

Bob Copenhafer, Stoli, and Woozul enjoy the alpenglow. While we enjoyed their company in camp, the dogs got their ass kicked on the hike. My advice: leave the hounds at home when climbing at Lone Peak. Photo by granitegod

Irazu Volcano, Costa Rica

Average Rating = 2.67/5 Irazu Volcano, Costa Rica

On an unusually clear day, I got this shot of the opposite side of the crater. What struck me was the color of the place (or, lack thereof) . Except for the few plants, the cyan sky and the stunning green lake in the caldera, the place reminded me of the moon.

This looks like the work of someone who probably shouldn't be in posession of an electric drill.

WORK OF A MASTER.....

Average Rating = 0.00/5 WORK OF A MASTER.....

This one is unsafe since the general rule is that you should never drill the hole less than ten hole diameters from the nearest hole or flaw in the rock.

SCAREY CLIP

Average Rating = 0.00/5 SCAREY CLIP

This photo shows the distance between the bolts on this retro bolted 5.5 if you look closer you can also see the "practice" holes drilled by the bolter. As can be seen here theres not even a need to stand up straight to clip the second bolt, it's just an insult to the members of the climbing community who at least try to respect climbing ethics.
